I like the concept and core gameplay loop, and the animations are so expressive! I love how the goblins incorrectly identify human objects--it reminds me a lot of Pikmin. And the game also reminds me of the auction minigame from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Some music and a proper ending would go a long way to complete this otherwise very polished entry :)

Very charming game! The models look great and I like the little talk sounds from the auctioneer. The way the theme is implemented is also very creative. Good job!

I loved the concept of this game so much! The audio was perfect, with just a little bit of ambience and fitting dialogue sounds. The core mechanic was very interesting and engaging, which kept me working hard until the very end. Very cool take on the count-down here. I'm sure this could expand into a full Steam game!

I bought all the things for more than they were worth lol. Great work!

Really love the audio for the game. Very creative concept and a fun implementation of the theme that leaves you hooked

Weirdest game i played yet in this jam and i absolutely loved it. The vibe from the 3D style to the sound design is immaculate and I eventually found myself playing it very seriously, crossing my arms with a look of disdain when the auctioneer was trying to slip me some inexpensive garbage. Needs a bit more of variety in the game loop for future update but as the game jam is concerned, perfect prototype !

Ahaha, he is not the most honest auctioneer out there. Thank you so much for playing the game! This is great feedback! ^^

Where even am I? lol

I love how  charming the visuals are, I really like the audio, some music could be cool though!
I really enjoyed this game, I played it for a while, and i just found it really funny how you are just getting higuer and higuer lol. great game!!

Ahaha, we were in a bit of a time crunch, so there is no official ending yet. Looks like you definitely managed to escape! Thank you so much for playing!^^

Great concept and fun to play, would have loved to see a bit more clearer indications on what the actual value of the item would be, but otherwise, good job!

Interesting concept. I loved the art and the audio :>

Really cool and fun! I didn't catch the hints, but they have pottential, maybe having their own minigame and sicovering actual truths abount the items could be cool.

I love the concept and style but everything feels very random. The hints at the start of the day don't seem to correlate to anything. I'm sure they do, they just didn't feel like it.

Developer

Thank you! Asking as we’re planning to expand the game slightly, did you mean the “This Round” rules every three auctions? Was the categories difficult to understand, or the rule system in general?

Submitted(+2)

You got rules like "smelly things are underrated" which can imply two things: They are under valued now or they are worth more than you think. I THINK it was the former but again. It's seemed a bit random.

Developer

Thank you, that makes sense!

Nice graphics and characters! I ended up just waiting for another goblin to start bidding and then mashed space faster, not sure if that's the intended strategy but it worked!

Developer

Haha woops! That does indeed make things a tad bit too easy!

Wonderfully original concept. Nice UI. I particularly liked the audio, including the crowd background effects. It was a little unclear to me if the game has an ending or if I just didn't play it long enough or earn enough money to get to an ending? Anyway, it was nicely done and I love the suspense of finding out about each item as it was auctioned

Developer(+1)

Thank you! No real ending I’m afraid, though you can clap yourself on the shoulder if you make it out of the hole!

The game is really immersive, it makes you feel like you're actually in a goblin auction. Also, the graphics and audio are clean, and the gameplay is quite fun, especially with the anticipation on whether you gained a profit or not.

Developer

This is great to hear, thanks so much!
