So cool! Thank you!
A BIG thank you to everyone who played and rated the game! I never could have imagined even cracking anywhere close to 100 let alone #2 so from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU SO MUCH! I'm glad the writing wasn't off putting or weird and I learned a lot reading all your comments! It wasn't perfect but this does give me a lot of confidence to keep going to maybe tell an even better story in the future!
If it wasn't obvious this game comes from a very personal chapter of my life where I lost my mother. I went through a lot of emotions that I have never gone through but one thing changed drastically and that was my experience with media involving loss. Every time now there was a story involving the loss I couldn't help but trace it back to my own experiences with it. One thing I always felt was missing however was the sense of emptiness or lack of pay off (if that makes any sense). Loss is always shown in a dramatic setting with music and grandeur but I feel like a lot of people go through loss experiencing something more ugly or more slow and quiet. I really wanted to capture the awkwardness, emptiness, and all these weird and uncomfortable feeling. I am really happy this story was able to reach those who have gone through what I have and even those who have yet to. Loss is not pretty and I hope anyone who is going through something terrible in their lives that you are not alone in feeling that way and that whatever feelings you may feel are valid.
A story that feels a bit too close to home... The ending just being a black screen, leaving you with your own reflection is a great touch. I spammed the "talk" button because, in those moments, we never get the chance to say everything we wanted to say...
Wow. The character feels a little bit like a jerk, trying to guilt their mother while she's nearing death. I guess that may be how people feel when they lose someone so close, I don't know. I felt bad for both of them :-(
Waw.
wow, just wow! what a game that makes u feel so much. i dont even know what to say. awesome job
beautiful game. the colors fit the mood of the game very well, and the pauses in between each dialogue option really immersed me
A very touching game with nice presentation. Great interpretation of the theme.
wow, this got me. this might be dark but: when I clicked pass time, I actually thought I was being trapped, playing against this undefeatable pong machine and the background slowly went blurry so I though "oh no, is she dying now while I play pong and am trapped in my phone??". because you could time the pong beep sound effects to get faster and faster and after the xxx bounce, it just disappears and you here the heart rate machine doing its continuous sound. maybe its something to think about
I guess I'm way to empathetic because this hit me way too hard :') Lovely way of presenting the story, lovely art, lovely game. Keep up the great work!
The great color palette and ambient white noise work beautifully to immerse you in the hospital setting, evoking that quiet sense of saying goodbye—both powerless and profoundly ordinary. And it's a simple story—perhaps even a bit plain—but that straightforwardness is precisely what makes it click with the rest of the experience. That said, the text integration could be a bit more seamless to fully sell the atmosphere.
Story isn't all that unique but it sure has hell is gripping the way it is presented. The silence after every comment and question hits hard. I also really like that you can see the timer ticking down constantly, reminds me of "This game will end in 205 clicks"
Damn, the heart monitor sound while playing pong really hit me :'0 very atmospheric art style and colors
Wow! A very deep and philosophical work… I hope everything turns out well for everyone!
This was a really interesting and thought provoking game that tugged on the heart strings for sure. I really appreciate the color palette of the game, it’s really beautiful. That said, I need to pick up the phone and call somebody.
Sad game, love the art.
Everyone, go visit your parents right now...
I didn't think I would feel so sad but playing through it and imagining myself in the same situation felt really heavy, great work.Yes, I copied this because it suits me perfectly too.
Great job with the story and interpretation. I thought this was a unique take on the theme and I liked the art style!
This was particularly painful submission... You did a great job with the pacing and dialogue. The art is great and the simple, beautiful background really adds to the atmosphere.
Wow, you really captured the feelings, I can relate to it. The art of pacing a game is very important too and you did it perfectly to convey the correct emotions. Hope you are doing well. <3
I am doing better now. Thanks for playing! <3
