This game feels very polished already, The only remark I have is that it wasn't clear to me without reading the description of the game that the counter needs to be 0 to hit the rocket. Overall a very fun little game!

Such a well-designed little platformer! I enjoyed the tight timing challenges and the cute visuals. Unfortunately, the sound didn't work for me. I only mention it because you have a note about sound effects on this page, otherwise I would have chalked it up to you simply not having time to implement sound rather than a bug. Great work!

making a game where you're literally the countdown yourself is a really clever take on the theme. also huge respect for writing this in c++ with raylib in just 4 days, that's definitely no joke for a jam project. really cool that you made all the sprites and sfx yourself from scratch too. nice work on the entry!

Thank you!

Most of the time I couldn't understand how to progress to the next level after I collected all of the gas. Besides that- very cool game! Liked the mechanics and I like the art too. And its so impressive that you made it with C++!

Developer

Thank you!

Communicating how to progress, turned out to be my bottle neck.

It is really easy, you need to have collected all gas and while you are “0” touch the rocket - i failed to make that clear enough. The “logic” behind this is that you need the fuel (obviously) and since it is a countdown you need to time it right - hence the zero.

Unfortunately no sound for me. Idea is quite nice, some levels are a bit hard but it's doable

great idea, well done

maybe make the first level a little easier so people can figure out the controls

cool idea!

Cool game, being literally a count down is a pretty creative idea. The controlls took some time to get used to, at first it was kind of awkward and dificult to judge your position vertically, and moving on the Y axis felt too slow, so it was very difficult for the first levels. Then it got better. Also would be nice to also be able to control your character with WASD. Anyway, good game, nicely done!
PS: It's funny that you can jump on a the rocket and fly with it :)

In description it says there are sounds, but I didn't hear any audio in the game

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your giving the game a change, playing and the feedback! Hopping on the rocket was a happy accident and It should have been the way you end the level!

WASD was definitely a miss on my part. The sounds (and a few sprites) for some reason don’t show up in the WEB build, but work fine on Windows (once the jam is done I’ll upload windows builds as well). I didn’t have the will power to debug that.

Very unique and an amazing idea. It's also well realized and the levels are all enjoyable. I want more!

Developer

Thank you! I’m glad you’ve liked the game!

Really really like the spin on "you are the countdown", its trully outside the box thinking!

Well done!

Simple and effective. Good job!

Developer

Thank you I’m glad you’ve enjoyed it!

Loved the game! Not quite my genre, but made it through all of the levels through some trial and error. Gameplay feels very smooth. Difficulty is perfect, not the easiest but has some space for a small error. Looks nice, plays nice, great game!

This is such a cool idea - I failed a couple of times for being too quick! I thought for a few levels that the disappearing platforms were on a timer, didn't realise for ages that it was just every time I pressed space!

Developer(+1)

Hehe, thank you!

I really like doing some trolling elements in my games, just to make it a bit more interesting. And I love those “jump switches”, very few people get them instantly, which gives you a nice aha/face-palm moment, which i think is great!

I didn't quite figure out how to advance to the next level neither Enter nor any other keys do anything to the rocket but major props for using C++, of course; that’s really impressive for just four days.

Hey, thank for playing and thank you for leaving a message!

To progress, you need to be 0 and to have collected all fuel - than just touch the shuttle to progress. I’ll update the text description.
