How does your game fit the theme?
You need to finish each level before its timer runs out. The speed at which it counts down can be affected by time-dilating fields throughout.

Very nice and very challenging platformer! The mechanics of the time slowing and speeding up in certain zones is really good. The gravity changing was also really clever and discombobulating haha. Some of the levels feel very precise and if you mess up even a little bit you can't make it, but in the end I got that old man out of there! If I'm feeling lucky I might have to do the challenge mode with the cool music.
Thank you! Yeah I knew I had to make it easier than I thought, but it was late (well, early by that point) and I got possessed by the buff-the-shit-out-of-my-game demon and I couldn't resist, I also love precision platformers. I didn't want people ignoring the time fields I guess. For what it's worth, the challenge mode's timer is considerably more forgiving.
I love the idea of changing the speed of time and it's an excellent interpretation of the theme. The level design is also great. Nice job!
Thanks!
Tell me why but I loved how the character kept it real and really matched the fed-up scientist energy. Also, I liked how you implemented time warp into the countdown too and made it into a compelling platformer! Awesome work, and I really liked the elevator animation too! You did fantastic!
Thank you!
Great game! It was very well executed and I liked the art. I enjoyed the gravity mechanics switching things up, but the beginning of level 8... have you ever heard of the dash spider jumpscare?
Thanks!
I have no idea what you're talking about.
thank god someone noticed lmaoNow that I think of it that would explain why you weren't among the people who thought it was too hard lmao
The fast pace is really good. The puzzle-solving pathfinding was also nice. The loading and crackling sounds were a bit inconvenient.
Thanks!
The long loading time is really a mystery to me, something I'll check up on when I have time. It's a 2D pixel art game ffs lol. What do you mean by crackling?
Extremely good game! It is very hard though. The part where you drop down and climb back up is hard in an un-fun way. The flipping of gravity is a bit confusing, but in a fun way. I am currently stuck there.
Anyways i like the idea of time slowing down and speeding up in certain zones, this is a solid puzzle platformer!
Edit: I beat the game. I like how you can enter the elevator while sideways, it looks really funny.
Thank you so much! That's some really good feedback! I realized as I was making the levels that there was a very tight line between making the levels too hard and making it so that you can just pass through all the time fields without thinking. And all the level design was a bit rushed to be honest. (And here I was before uploading that it was all too easy, I literally buffed level 4's timer after uploading, I never learn 😖)
... you like how what now? That might've been a bug lmao
YO THIS GAME IS AMAZING!!
I absolutely love the concept of playing around with time, I had fun playing this. Also very cool that you made all the graphics yourself. Took a while to figure out and remember the controls but overall I enjoyed it. Good work!
Thank you so much!! :)
Oooh the level 6 got me so confused >.< Good concept!
Thanks! I hope you got it in the end lol
this was a great game with a fast paced concept. loved it!
Thanks!
Cool gameplay! Maybe one thing, for the flow it would have been nice to use a bit fewer keys (instead of R for retry and Enter to confirm, just press an arrow/jump button). Also some messages in the middle of sprinting can be a bit disruptive. But otherwise nice combination of mechanics!
Thanks! Yeah I know the dialogs were a problem, but I didn't know how to better implement them. At least they only show up once.
On previous versions you could press any button to advance the dialog, but I removed it because I was having issues with the input being held down when nothing was pressed, but I'm pretty sure now that didn't have anything to do with my game. Oh well.
It was a bit to hard for me, but otherwise a very good and novel puzzle-platformer :3
Thanks! I always try to make my games easier because I tend to make them too hard. And I made it too hard anyway, but in my defense in this game giving you too much time ended up meaning that you could just ignore the time fields entirely. Oh well.
Fun idea. Things get funky when starting to walk on walls. Really makes you work on your coordination.
Thanks!
The game took a long time to load even the browser wanted to kill it but it ran haha.
I had some freeze at the start but then it went well!
The puzzle game playing with the time passing is really smart!
The 2 things that annoyed me a bit but that's purely picky and didn't deterior the game:
-speed up the talking with a button (I'm a fast reader haha)
-enter/esc to retry
Special bonus point for the sound effect when time is running out, it's awesome <3
I have no idea why it does that, all I added were some tilemap layers and noisemaps for the bg, but oh well.
The speed up button for the dialog is in there! It's just not working properly, yay :)
Retry works with R
Thank you!
This is great! A good amount of mechanics that work together really well.
the movement was a bit wonky from the keyboard side( use input buffering to make it smooth( good game
Thanks! Yeah coyote-time was definitely considered but I didn't have the time.
The game is very fun, the timing is just very unforgiving even taking the time fields into account.
Really fun! Loved the dialog and how you introduced the mechanics over time.
Thanks!
