I really like this concept! I agree with others that the pause ability was the only useful one for the most part, though. Except for the level that more or less forces use of fast-forward, all the levels seem easiest to complete with pause; slow motion is just a less effective version of it, and I can’t see any real use case for rewind. If considered as a game about the pause mechanic, though, this was pretty fun, and had levels that used it in a bunch of different ways. Nice work overall :)
Nice idea! Implementation is good, graphics and colors are interesting, there's atmosphere. Mechanics seem too complicated, I only used "pause" ability, aside from one slow elevator that required "fast forward". Maybe you could focus more on one ability and polish it better, for now many abilities only overload player's head with difficult controls. Or make it more puzzley, with levels that require every ability and combinations. Difficulty is not super high, but rather annoying. Player has to do lots of tries, so you better do respawn instant, without needing to hold. If you ever do a "hold" button, make sure to add visible and audible cue to it, like a bar or a timer. Overall I enjoyed the game, good job!
Good game! The concept is really neat, having control over the timer is awesome, and your implimentation of the timer mechanic works very well ! Unfortunately, isn't immediately clear how to use it - a tutorial would have been very helpful. The backwards and forwards time movements are well done, but unfortunately not very helpful in practice, maybe some puzzles that were based on them could help? Either way, congratulations on getting a project finished in time for the jam! 4 days isn't a lot of time to make a game, and its awesome that you got a submission in.
I beat the game.
It was relatively fun. But the slow motion button was not THAT usefull. Only a bit for positioning the traps sometimes, but the pause was usually strictly better.
Restarting should happen automaticaly on death. And just presing R instead of holding would be better, so you can get into the gameplay faster.
Nice game! I would change the hitbox of the obstacles though, I am dying without even touching the guillotine
It took me sometimes to understand what to do! But once i got it the puzzles was really funny!
I think that the idea is really creative but the controls are junky along with the physics sometimes. I enjoyed the puzzels and they are really well made although some later ones are a little bit hard.
pretty cool, but desperately needs a tutorial. i was sitting there for like 5 minutes trying to figure out what i was supposed to be doing lol
also i see you're using gamemaker, if the reason you dont have a web build is because you were running into issues with it, select "gx.games" as the target instead of "html5". trust me its better in almost every aspect and you dont even have to do anything to make it work.
I thought the concept is very creative! Good job on that! However, everything feels a bit janky and its very difficult which I did not enjoy. Maybe it's just me though. Either way, great game! You should be very proud!
