Very cool gameboy aesthetic and the gameplay idea is interesting.
Criticism: same numbers feel like they shouldn’t count as the larger number an turn into solid blocks.
I wish there was some way to undone your mistakes (get rid of solid blocks), kinda like in tetris.

Great twist on the Tetris formula. Although I wished there’s a way to clear blocks, since once you sacrifice a spot, it’s gone for good.

This is one of those games I played that made me go, wow, I wish I could even think of that. What a creative game. Just when I thought we ran out of every possible tetris clone idea, huh?

Great twist on tetris! It would be interesting to see more ways the countdown system could be extended to force you to weight multiple options. Like, what if there were blocks of two where you might have to sacrifice some portion of your board for an extremely high number.
I've only played 3 games in the game jam so far but I can already tell this is going to be my favourite
