That was fun! Nice and simple but gets hectic fast! The music is great and gives a Tetris like feel which works well with this!

Incredible, super unique idea. Addicting gameplay. Only minuses is that I had some problems with web build and had to restart a page couple of times and lack of leaderboard. Idk if 1942 is high or low score XD

Developer

1942 is pretty high, my record is ~2100, and I think the average I've seen is ~1500. Leaderboard and records would've been added if we had another day to work on the project (+ingame tutorial), welp. For the web build its been a long-standing bug that's been haunting me for the last year, could you elaborate what issues you've had? The only one I'm aware of is the  keyboard input doesn't work on first few loads, then after a restart or two it usually works (also include OS and Browser pls)

Quite simple but quite addicting! The music, visuals and also the intensity of the gameplay makes this a fun experience :D

Developer

Thanks! Glad you had fun <3

A lot to do in the ending rounds and it gets you into the flow its very polished and simple. I will say the tutorial on the main page going away after a bit then coming back is a bit annoying.

Developer

Yea agreed on the tutorial, sadly we had plans for something better during gameplay but ran outta time so we barely managed to whip this one up and didn't get to playtest it enough before the deadline. Thanks for playing!

This is great! Super simple tasks, and the challenge comes from layering them on top. I love that the whole game is controlled by one button, could easily be a mobile game for that reason. Well polished, good job!

Developer(+1)

It'll need some minor changes to truly be a mobile game (such as escape buttons in the options lol, oops), and making sure the graphics all work (my phone doesn't render the tutorial animation for some reason, I suspect it can't down-scale the large asset), but thanks!

The game is really nice to play ! all the feedbacks make it very addicting :) Congrats on producing this level of polish in 4 days

Developer

Glad you enjoyed, yea it was a mad rush to get it all in, day 1 was coming up with the basic idea and making the bare bones, then the rest of the time went straight into polishing and iterating

Really nice game with good visuals and sound! it's really addictive :,D

Developer

Thanks!

Very good idea, played a lot ahah
Some time have been spent to make the game juicier, which is very nice. As i have to find a feedback, maybe on the progression, for having a better increasing rythm that will keep more and more over focused

I enjoyed this one a lot! Game ramped up at just a good enough pace to make it possible to get a great score even on your first attempt! Visuals, and music were really polished as well. Congrats of a solid  game!

Developer

Thanks for playing! <3

This is incredibly hectic and stressful! I had a lot of fun and "holy shit" came out of my mouth towards the end. Having the four types of clickables was a great decision -- it balances the chaos wonderfully without being overwhelming.

My only critiques are with the tutorial cards. I think they reset a little too fast, and the one explaining the "click a rocket" should explicitly say "when its countdown is zero". Maybe thats obvious for others? For me I instantly clicked the rockets because it told me to and was wondering why they were exploding. On a reload, I figured it out.

Very well done, I had quite a bit of fun with this.

Developer

Completely valid interpretation, I agree we should've cleared that up with playtesters, as per usual things got hectic at the end of the jam and we couldn't get much feedback on it to spot that, thanks for the good note!

Glad the complexity was just right, took a surprising amount of iteration to land on those 4 so I'm happy it was the right choice <3

the music is so freaking good!!! the art as well, this is a really solid game from this jam, goodluck!

Thanks! You too!! <3

It’s a very enjoyable game. Nice art and clicky mechanics, love it! Don’t quite get why I needed to click on planets, later I understood that it’s asteroids, but it’d be more clear if theye were smaller and would hit a planet instead of going around… Planet looks cool!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for playing, we went through a bunch of iterations with the asteroids, and we settled on them being a background 'extra points' mechanic so that they don't take away from the 'countdown' theme of the rockets (originally the asteroid's numbers counted down too but that ended up feeling weird). If they were smaller it might've made more sense in the context of 'space' but then they would've been harder to hit and once again distracting cuz the player would need to put more focus into hitting them (esp if they collided with the planet, that would've changed the tone of the game completely), so its all tradeoffs in the end. Thanks for the idea though!

my mouse was very happy with all the attention it got. nice tetris-inspired soundtrack.

Developer

Thanks! Clickity clackity lol

Game starts pretty slow, but devolves into a frantic madness near the end. At some point I just gave up hitting asteroids and tried to launch as many rockets as possible 😅

Developer

Perfect, I felt that waiting around for the rockets to start popping up like rabbits would get boring without something else to do, so seems like the asteroids did their job XD, thanks!

Very beautiful and enjoyable to experience! However, it's a bit confusing at first and I found it a bit boring and like I had no goal. Other than that, really cool! Good job :)

Developer (3 edits)

That's so fair, I should've added a leaderboard or a score-to-beat (2100 was my record) somewhere in the game, but I think that might've taken away from the experience of focusing on enjoying the (hopefully) smooth gameplay, nice visuals, and song, with a nice bonus of some quantity to compare with others/previous runs about how well the player did. Thanks for the feedback!

Submitted(+1)

Very enjoyable game, I was insanely stressed, especially at the end. The artwork and sounds/music were fantastic. :)

Developer

Thanks! I hope it wasn't too stressful, you should've seen the earlier versions where I literally couldn't keep up with how fast I had to click to even try getting some of the rockets, I think we settled on a nice balance of 'simple' at the start and 'insane but manageable chaos' at the end <3

Submitted

I think you did a good job at balancing the difficulty

Submitted(+1)

Wow this is actually so fun. It's so chaotic, yet you manage to get into such a great rhythm.

Also the music is insanely good.

Developer

Thanks! Our composer is really proud of themselves with this one :D
