This is super interesting. It was a lot of information at the beginning, and I felt a bit overwhelmed. I loved the concept though, and playing a dungeon crawler was super unique and felt really fun. I didn’t do a great job lol - but it was fun nonetheless. I had already gone through most of the timer by the time I felt like I kind of understood what was happening. I still wasn’t fully sure if I should be attacking with certain heroes depending on the countdown (like would they do more damage, etc?) - or if the countdown just dictated which heroes were available at the time. It’s super interesting though, and a great concept. This one was fun. With some QoL and UX enhancements it would be amazing. :)

Thank you for playing and for the kind words 🙏
Yup the countdown just indicates which unit is available. The game loop is supposed to be the player asking themselves if it is worth it to reduce X amount of steps to get a certain composition. Because a lot of time it ends up being net positive.

But I have learned, I probably shouldn't make games like this for a game jam. You guys went for the jrpg route too but were so much more graceful and compact with it!
