How does your game fit the theme?
Two countdowns you can never refill. Your deck is a book — every card you cast burns forever, so your own resources count down all run long. The Tyrant's armor is the second countdown: every wound you deal his projection on the climb is permanently carved off the armor he'll wear at the summit. And as your book burns down, the remaining pages burn hotter — the countdown itself is your power curve. Count down to the last card, then win with it.

fun take on the deck builder roguelike. i especially adore the narrative which makes the mechanics make sense. good work!
reminds me of slay the spire, i like it
It's very well made, and I like the ashes page that is boosted by the amount of cards you've burned.
There are some times where I'm unable to use a page on an opponent, and I don't know why. Like, I can't use the strike page on a random skeleton opponent, and I have to wait until next turn. Kind of an odd glitch.
Also, I like how the description says "no second printing" but you can add identical pages back into your book between rounds if you want lol, it's just usually more useful to get new pages.
Fantastic rendition of a countdown, really makes it start to feel the mortal peril of reaching the throne and seeing you only have 5 cards left, then the super satisfying feeling of using the card that deals damage for all your burned pages, a true For Those Who Come After moment!
SLAY THE SPIRE 3!
The art style is really great.

This game was super cool! The art was incredible! Impressive that you guys managed to do all this without any AI to help! Very good game for how short the time limit was. I would have asked for more polished assets and UI design, but taken into the account of the short time and lack of generative AI for assistance, this game looks to be about as good as it gets! Pls try my game if you have time too :) Would help so much
What a cool game! I really like the art and gameplay. It feels very polished, though it was rather short. Can't wait to see what you do with this in the future! Also, if you have time, check out my game!
Thank you so much! We’re really glad you enjoyed the art and gameplay. We definitely wanted to do more, but the jam deadline came fast 😅 We’d love to expand it after the jam. I’ll check out your game too!
Nice!
I won with exactly 0 cards unburnt. So that felt pretty cool! The art of the enemies (especially the one who dual wields) looks sick!
Thank you! Winning with exactly 0 cards unburnt is probably the most fitting way to finish the game 😄 Really glad you liked the enemy art too — the dual-wielding enemy is one of our favourites!
