The store each time you go back the dice you can buy slowly go up which is kinda funny but obviously unintended. Its a fun idea and is similar to some of my favorite GMTK games of the past but needs more polish.

Interesting idea, though probably needs a bit more polish. Maybe different colors so you know which dice is what that you are scoring so that you dont throw away a dice that has a better set of numbers for the remaining rolls and likely a bit more overall audio feedback for actions being taken

It's like Yahtzee kinda! Nice game. Not sure why the dice in the shop keep getting higher but hey that's life I guess

First of all, congratulations! This is one of the most interesting and original ideas I've seen, even compared to games with many more ratings (including ours maybe, haha), so great job!

My only suggestion would be to add a bit more UI feedback in the shop. For example, when you don't have enough resources to buy dice, the game doesn't provide much indication of why the purchase can't be completed. At first, I actually thought the shop was bugged before realizing I simply didn't have enough resources.

Overall, it's a very simple idea, but it's executed really well. Great work!

Thank you, you're too kind! Thanks for the feedback, it's a good idea. The UI is something I didn't give a lot of time to, if I come back to this to work on it further that's definitely something I'll bear in mind.

I would like to know how many rerolls I got, because sometimes it felt like I had more/less. Cool idea!

Fun experience, as others have said the shop might be too expensive making the progression a bit boring, but some polish and additions would make for a fun little roguelite game!

Cute little game! The shop prices could do with a bit more balancing. One other improvement could be different dice colors to be able to distinguish between the bought dice.

If there could be some other powers/dice it'd be a pretty great small game, good job!

I had put "make different dice have different colours" on my to-do list. I only remembered it was there and I hadn't gotten around to doing it when reading this comment 😅

Nice little dice game. I think that most of the stuff in the shop is too expensive, but maybe I'm not seeing a strategy to get more score easier. I also wish that the dice would get automatically placed in their respective slots. Why wouldn't I want the 6 go into the 6 slot? Had a fun time rolling dice though

Developer

I'm not surprised most stuff is too expensive tbh, beyond making sure the cheapest shop dice cost the average score after one game, I didn't spend any time balancing the cost of the other dice.

I considered having the dice go in automatically at first, but since there are different types of dice you might want a specific one -- such as the one that only rolls a 6 -- to go in the 6 slot.
