a fun little game. I am so busy closing windows
I really liked it. Its was very original and You didnˋt only do they count theme You also added a count down mechanic. I love the art!
Fun small game. The gameplay where you constantly decide where to go next, while this decision has to be reconsidered each time one of the windows is about to open, is very well designed. I would suggest looking into the movement, such that it is more smooth against walls, and maybe also diagonal movement.
Thanks ! I definitively have to rework movement and collisions, I will try to find good tutorials to do this better next time ! (diagonal movement is completely someting I HAVE to do !)
Great job!
that was... stressful
Only one answer to this problem : pet more cats !
I'm so impressed that this is your first game jam, and solo at that! It's got a surprising amount of polish and it's a ton of fun to play. The level design was spot on--each one upping the challenge or introducing a new concept. Nice work!
I would recommend a sound effect and a faster animation for when you successfully close a window. Since the window closing animation takes a second to play, it's tough to tell initially whether it registered. And it could make the act of successfully closing a window even more satisfying.
Thanks you for your kind words and for your advices ! I really have to do something about those windows ! I have more feedback on cats than the thing you have to do to survive... Lesson learned for the next time !
But also the cats were adorable XD even though petting them was detrimental to my survival I just had to do it a few times anyway
Super cute!! I made it all the way to the end. The controls were a little imprecise but I can imagine this concept working perfectly on an old style arcade machine. Really impressive work for your first game ever! I think you have a future in game development!
Great concept, unfortunately I have a skill issue and couldn't get past level 2 (tried multiple times) but I do think you have a solid game here!
I lowkey had fun while playing this lol, seems difficult at first but i managed to survive till the end on my second attempt. I still wish i could move diagonally and dont get stuck on walls. Pretty nice game regardless!
I died too many times cause i was going good kitty.
Nice concept, i know its difficult to do these things solo especially if you have other commitments.
It was well done! Fun game loop.
Nice use of countdown hidden on the windows opening, the art is cute.
I didn't find it overly enjoyable given that there was a lack of hinting of what I could really be doing, or the problem of windows remaining open without having a chance to fix that.
Excellent approach for a first game, next time think a bit more on what will the player experience and where to add more juice <3
For a first game this is great, I just have the problem that you can't move diagonally, which can really make moving feel weird (though it can definitely be used as part of difficulty!). But very fun game!
Super cute. I Love the art! I kind of suck at it but I'm gonna keep playing!
It's an original idea for a game
Very fun :3
I wished you could move diagonally and the collisions a bit more forgiving but it's okay.. the game has a cat
Nice game! I had a couple issues with the collisions which kinda sucked when the point of the game is maneuvering as quick as possible, but overall I had a pretty good experience. Great job :D
Petting cats is the most important feature a game can have!
First day is tough, but game gets easier after a few days, good game! I had fun with this concept
Interesting game, and the cats are cute. However, the collision handling is a bit hard to understand, and I often found myself getting stuck in corners.
Nice work overall!
