Such a fun and inventive idea for the theme! I think the level design probably wants to give the player a few more opportunities to make the forced angles line up, but for the time span of a jam this was great and super fun - I can imagine seeing it expanded a lot further! Great work!

Very creative!!

This is a SUPER creative take on the theme in a really clever and charming way! I especially love the character models! I think the aiming mechanic, as unfamiliar as it is, makes for really interesting gameplay! I think it would have been fun to have the timer count based on ammo as well so the player could feel some sense of control for where they're aiming. Only thing that absolutely kills me on this project is the audio, left me second guessing some events many times because the sound felt so disjointed, this game could feel so so juicy if you spend some more time with the audio! Thanks for making this game, it was a lot of fun!

Your art is amazing! I was not a huge fan of the aiming mechanics.

Honestly a fun and unique idea and relatively well done too! Actually enjoyed playing it quite a bit.

Very creative and funny idea. I think the ennemies are poorly positionned level design wise to allow the mechanic to shine and they move way too fast. Resulting on you being checkmated half the time into just running 50 miles away because there is simply no other option. Great fun idea though (id wish for a health bar at least :P evne an ugly number somewhere)

And obviously your art/designs are really nice and consistent!

HEY THANKS! Totally agree on the critique, btw, mostly because the thing that we most wanted to fit in after we had a good amount of enemies was more time to focus on building out interesting levels or more interesting enemy AI so they're not just sprinting at you all at once. But that's da nature of da jam :)

I LOVE the character designs!

Cool idea, very fun, but a bit frustrating at times. I had issues where I got pinned into a corner by enemies, but the gun bullet started behind their hitboxes so I died. Also the sniper was once up against the wall and I couldn't get above him which ruined my run.
Maybe some checkoints would have helped.

Btw where is Cluckdown I??

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! I think we'll either make the gun shoot a little closer to the player, OR we make it so enemies can't rub their face on yours and there's a bit of a gap! For enemy positioning, I think we just need to level/ enemy design a bit better, ran a bit out of time in the end 😅

Really enjoyed playing this one! I love the character design, the 3D modelling is just so gosh darn good, and a really nice take on the theme.

Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it! :)

You have prepared a great dish, chef!

The most interesting interpretation of the theme that I have seen so far! And a fun game in itself.

The only drawback is that the sight is too dim. I was constantly shooting past, even at point-blank range, because I couldn't see if I was aiming correctly or not.

However, it's a great game and I had fun!

Developer

🧑‍🍳Thank you very much for the comment and feedback!
I think there is a bit of an issue with the bullet coming out a tad in front of the player, so a point-blank shot might be skipping the enemy.

Glad you had fun!

I cannot believe that you gave that thing a gun, and the subsequent other characters' weapons as well. This is certainly a game that must be played. If I were to critique anything, I would say I wish I had more hands to play the game on another monitor. I didn't even notice the gun! One of the artists must've slipped that in :O

It was really fun to play! I love the chara designs, especially the sausages dogs, they made me laugh a lot when I saw them arrive. It's a really creative interpretation of the theme, nice work!

Glad to see another game made with UE. The default UE font in the menu was funny. Aside from that, the polish was crazy good for a game made in 4 days. Good job! How did you even manage to 3D model so many things this quick?

Developer

UI is NOT our passion 😅Thanks for playing the game and the nice comment!!
I suppose a lot of years of 3D modelling haha! We cut corners a bit by doing everything with gradient texturing, because of that things went pretty fast on that front!
