How does your game fit the theme?
Count your bullets as you fight the bandit; the bullets you have left matter. If that’s not enough, the dynamite is counting down until the safe blows open!

I'm very glad you went with this type of graphic, it looks awesome! It was a bit hard but I still enjoyed it :)

I loved the way the game looks, especially the gameboy appearance !! I found the shop mechanics a little complicated at first but I got the hang of it eventually, I think it'd benefit from a little tutorial !

Love the cowboy theme. The shop confused us at first, but once we figured out we needed to sell bullets first we loved getting the bomb bullets and really going crazy. :)

Developer

I'm glad you liked our game! Once the dynamite starts flying things definitely get exciting :D. Thanks for playing our game!

So fun to play! I'd add some effects on impact because I couldn't really orient whether anything happens.

Developer

Thanks so much! Effects for the bullets on impact is on the list of things we need to add in, I'm glad you had fun with our game!

This was fun! Only drawbacks are aiming felt a little hard at times with how fast the enemies move and the shop was a little buggy, but it’s definitely going in the right direction, I love the bottom bullets ui!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback. I'm hoping to balance the enemies in the future.

I think the stakes could be made a little higher if you had to purchase new stuff each round. That way you are forced to think about which bullet you're using and how much you're spending on each shot. Some music would also make the experience a lot better overall. Fun concept though!

Developer

Thanks for playing our game! That is an interesting idea to buy things new each round; with some more time we'll balance things out a bit better. And definitely music would have been nice as well.

Cool concept, really like the limited number of bullet slots and the variety of augmentations. A few suggestions -- I couldn't tell which of my bullets was going to shoot first, and as far as I could tell you couldn't move bullets around in the shop except when you buy them. It would be cool if there was some strategy to choosing the order of your bullets as that might unlock strategies/synergies. The second thing is when you run out of bullets the round should probably just end if theres nothing else you can do. In one level I ran out of bullets and then had to just watch the enemies run away with the money which took kind of a long time. Overall, solid work, fun to play!

Developer

Thanks for checking out the game. The shop ui was a bit buggy, but you can actually move around the order of bullets. In a future release we want to make it much more balanced and interesting.

Fun game! Loved all the bullet animations, the ui on the bottom was super cool

Developer

Thanks so much for the feedback! I'm glad you had fun with our project!

Cool concept with a really appealing art style!

The enemies are fast, but using the explosion timing and waiting by the safes works well. A small visual cue for their movement could make them feel more predictable. The shop and upgrades also added some nice variety. The gun-loading animation and overall art style were amazing!

Really liked this game! :)

Thanks for checking it out!

What beautiful artwork! I really liked it. I thought it was a little too hard because of how fast the enemies were, but I enjoyed it.

Developer

Thank you so much! We did run out of time to polish the AI, but I'm glad you liked it anyways!

I really like the idea of carefully managing my very limited ammo, especially when I can control how each bullet behaves. I found the gun management aspect of the game to be pretty fun and compelling, but I think it would pair well with slower and more deliberate gameplay with more time to think about how I'm going to use my precious ammo.

At the moment, the shop interface is a bit unintuitive and kind of clunky (for example, it's really slow to change out bullets because I have to individually confirm each one I sell). However, I think I maybe understand what you're going for. Clicking and dragging things around gives it a really tactile feeling, as if I'm loading the gun with my own hands. With a bit more juice, I think it could be very fun to interact with.

Developer

Thanks for checking out the game! Figuring out the gameplay mechanic was definitely a challenge, as we didn't want to make it a turn based game, and also not too fast paced (the enemies did turn out a little too fast though). Thank you for the feedback!

The NES inspired artstyle is cool even if I'm partial to other kinda artstyles, but like I said to another game, more styles and more expression is always great!

I also kinda liked (but maybe this is my own experience), how I discovered different mechanics as I went, first I realized the bandits gather northward to steal the money, then I realized that bomb timer around the screen was for the vault door to get blown open. I liked that the countdown timer didn't mean instant death. but was rather a change in game state

although, it did cause me to realize the best strategy is to just wait up there and shoot em when they gathered around. Still, it's a fun game, pretty simple, it reminds me of old flash games

Developer

Thank you! It was my first time trying out a retro art style. Though it could use some better balancing, I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

I pretty much like the graphic style and the ammo limit, but the enemies are too fast for me :0

Submitted(+2)

The presentation is good, and the upgrade system is interesting, but the game lacks a sense of escalation. Its also pretty easy since the bandits arent very threatening. Good bones here, just needs refinement.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the input! There wasn't much time for balancing and there was a lot more I wish we could have done.

Really cool to have the revolver's chamber in the UI like that. Very cool idea, I feel like the viewport is a bit small compared to how big the map is making it feel like a bit of a chore to track down any bandits at all sometimes but otherwise a really cool concept!

Revolver = happiness :) Enemies were too fast for me though

Developer

Yep, definitely something that needs to be fixed. Thanks for checking it out!

Cool game, i loved the animation of loading the gun at the beginning of the round it looks super crisp and good however i think the camera's dimensions is really small like i barely can see whats around me i think the game lacks a bit of more sfx and effects like for example u could have added blood splash when shooting some bandits, but overall really cool game.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the ideas! if we had more time it would have definitely been more polished. Thanks for checking it out!

Hello fellow revolver enjoyer. Graphics are very nice, gameplay also feels good. Very nice game!

The revolver at the bottom looks so cool

Developer

Thank you!

I loved the UI at the bottom, and how much emphasis it puts on the number of bullets you have. I did get lost in the space because it was so large, and I found it really hard to hit my shots because of the speed of the bandits, but I think, despite that, this game has strong bones. Well done! Beautiful art. Would have liked some cartoony gun sounds though ;)

Developer

literally ran out of time to add the sounds, It was better not to risk missing the deadline lol. I really wanted to slow the enemy turning rate down, but there was no time. Thanks for checking it out!
