Holy cow, those are some insanely well designed and interesting puzzles; the main mechanic fits the theme perfectly, in an interesting way, and while being very fun and engaging. Fantastic work!
Thanks for enjoying our game! So glad you liked the puzzles, we put some effort into them :D
It's very fun and enjoyable, yet still confusing, but in a fun way.I wish I could've moved my camera while moving, it could be much easier to play, but the rest of the game is great!
Thanks for playing our game! You can actually move your camera around while moving, maybe the mouse sensitivity in the settings were a bit low? If it's not that, I'll try to figure out what's wrong
Maybe it's because I was playing with the touchpad, my mouse was unavailable then.
Really cool game mechanics!
I absolutely LOVED this one <3
Glad you liked the mechanics, thanks!!
Really unique puzzle game idea! of all the games I've played so far I think this had the most unique spin on the "countdown" prompt. Realizing that I could take infinite 0s within 9 seconds was an awesome aha! moment. 5 stars easily
In fact, we initially blocked extracting zeros from a timer because we were afraid of infinite blocks breaking the game! At some point during the jam, we thought, "Wait, this could be another step of challenge for players. Isn't it?" Indeed, allowing it improved consistency, and it served as a nice puzzle level :) Glad that you had that aha moment!
Played 20 games so far, this is the best one.
The only nitpicks I have are first resets could be shorter especially the one with the multiple doors. That's where I left the game (but also the difficulty spike felt overwhelming). Second, apply more down force / decrease rotation to cubes, so they don't bounce out the placing area.
Very happy to know that it's your best pick, huge thanks! Many people said that the cubes should have more drag & friction, so we'll try to get the value right
I really love the idea, I genuinely had a lot of fun playing it! I think it has plenty of potential to grow into a full puzzle game. I can already imagine lots of different mechanics and puzzles building on this core concept. Great work! ( I also agree with the other comment about adding a drop button, it would definitely make things a bit easier for the player haha).
Thanks for playing! I agree that a drop button would be great since the blocks kinda bounces off the floor, and somewhat frustrating lol
If we get to expand this, a drop button will definitely be in the game!
Great puzzle game, a bit "hermetic" at first but it gives enough clues on how to proceed, really well put together. Puzzle are nice and well thought. Movement feels a bit "slippery" to me but you need fast movement for this kind of pace, anyway really nice game!
Glad that you enjoyed it! Actually, this was the first 3D game we ever developed, so handling movement was done in the most naive way. I think it would have been much better if moving was more vivid as in Exit8. Only if we had more time...!
Incredible game, I enjoyed the puzzles so much and got to the end! The levels were designed very well and I didn't get stuck anywhere for too long, which is very good. They were really smart too and had the aha moment you want. Portal inspiration is also very nice, I like it. The only nitpick I have is I wasn't a fan of how much the blocks bounce when dropped, as they often bounced out of the container, but it's not a huge problem. Sick game entry, really well done!
Thanks for playing our game to the end! I hope you enjoyed the last room with exit door. Me and the other developer are both huge fans of Portal series, and we decided to make a similar ending room :) Well, the initial velocity of thrown blocks were indeed fast and the pressure plate's border collider didn't help that much... Sorry for that. We eventually ran out of time before handling that issue
5/5 on everything. This is a fully fledged game. With some additional features and extra puzzles, well worth over $5!
Just, please add a drop button lol. I struggled so much on some puzzle because the bounciness of some the blocks and the fact that I was not able like to right click to drop the block in place.
Other than that... PLEASE you have to sell this game. Make sure this hit at least one store front in the not so far future!
I invite you to play my game as well, not as impressive as this one, but I'm definitely proud of it.
Thanks for playing our game! I definitely agree with the "drop button" idea.... Well, I've also tried your game, and you said what I just wanted to say. Please sell your game too! it was soooo addictive :)
Oh! Thank you so much! I will try to figure out better dimensions and hit boxes for a more enjoyable overall experience and then probably bring it to some store fronts. I think it fits well on mobile devices because of the touch screen.
The moment I grabbed the cube out of the clock to change the time....wow incredible! Awesome puzzle game!
Glad you liked the concept, thanks for playing!!
I loved this one, and I agree, this is Portal's temporal twin :)
I played all the way to the end. The last levels were pretty hectic, actually; and the fact that we can only *throw* the cubes added to the chaos :)
Cheers!
Thanks a lot for playing!! Also very glad to know that you liked the puzzles
It's Portal's long-lost brother. One bends space, the other bends time. Great game—I loved it! I also liked the old-school "thank you for playing" ending. Probably will win the jam :)
Portal was definitely the main concept we followed, we're very glad it got to you!!
Huge thanks for completing the game, and the kind words too :D
Really interesting take! I got stuck quickly but I'm planning to circle back around and try again haha. I'm pleased with the aesthetic too, simple and liminal.
Hope the puzzles get together when you come back, glad you liked the visuals!!
Really fun game. It was fun, but unfortunately got stuck on "zero is infinite" (I did get what I need to do, but after 10 attempts got tired trying)
Getting those zeros out is kinda vague I agree, maybe some more level design could fix it?
Nevertheless, thanks for playing!!
Maybe if there was a bit more time or less zeros required, would be nice
the puzzle design is great and this is a super unique idea. Took me about 15 minutes to escape the facility. good job.
Nice work!! Thanks for playing our game to the end
Im not very good with puzzle game but this game made me want to try and play more of them!
We enjoyed making the puzzles, maybe will add some more someday :D Thanks for playing our game!!
Clever! I love escape room style puzzles, and this really scratched that itch for me. The game feels cohesive and well put together. I enjoyed my time with it!
Glad our game fit your taste!! Thanks for playing
Such a good and creative first person puzzle game!
Glad you liked it, thanks for playing!!
That was a good puzzle game. Hats off developer. At start it felt which block of time to pick and all but as I played it became easier. Also I donno if its my pc or the game sensitivity is very high
Thanks a lot! You can manage the mouse sensitivity by opening the settings menu pressing Tab fyi
This one's a really clever use of the theme. I have to give mad props for making the puzzle elements understandable even when the player is under a timer, I can't imagine that was easy to design and tune.
The behaviour of zeroes is a neat touch emerging from the game rules, and I am admittedly a sucker for those kind of outcomes from the game's premise.
I would love to see some of the elements brought in line thematically - mainly those brown boards with passcodes or < written on them, since they seem disconnected from the world (admittedly it made them more noticeable and I would definitely not have connected the dots if it was just painted onto the wall or a more themed object)
Happy to hear that you enjoyed our puzzles! Seems the last-hour polishing did its work
We wanted the passcodes to be easily readable, so we put in big wood boards to do the job. May look kinda outside the sci-fi vibe our game gives, but if it was noticeable I think it did its duty! Thanks again for playing our game :D
