I understand why you prioritized getting as much  of the hand made art in, it looks really great, I think it was a good choice :) The little noises (even though a bit repetitive) and the beautiful drawings makes the game quite cute/charming
Gameplay wise it was also a pleasant surprise. The idea works really well IMO, I had fun :)

Good job !!

I adore the art style!!! I love the idea as well, and sick chasing music!

A cute and funny idea.

The mouse's voices are hilarious.

The only thing is that it's not very balanced and there are some bugs.

But I enjoyed it.

Neat little game!

Super cool audio work and visual effects! The UI could use some work. Overall very good entry, congrats!

Oh, I just love the wordplay in the title! Art and audio are also purrrfect!

Loved the artwork and sound design! It was also very fun to figure out strategies to escape miauricio, even tho it didn't take me long to find a way to beat the game with only 2 traps

Awesomesause! The art and music are fantastic. While running away from a boss isn't that crazy you really managed to sell it in a fun way. Balance and collision could be better fun for a jam.

A Purr-fectly Imperfect Disclaimer from the development team  🐾

First of all, we want to thank everyone who is testing the game and, above all, sharing their feedback. It's extremely valuable to us because we want to try to finish this game after the jam.

We're sorry for the rough state of this build! Due to the limited jam time, we prioritized integrating as much of our hand-made art and animation as possible, which unfortunately left us without enough time to finish the cat’s jumping animation or properly polish the colliders and game balance. We know things can get a little messy because of this, but we promise to improve them once the jam is over, and we’d love for you to give Mice to be Home another try when the updated version is ready!

I love the art and the sound effects of the game! But like people already said, the collisions can be very frustrating. I wasn't able to beat the game, not even close :') But it's a very cute idea! And the art style is lovely! Keep up the good work!

This game is really challenging, the mechanic of placing objects to gain time from the cat was very creative. And the mouse's SFX is truly incredible.

Submitted(+1)

It has some good background music. I like the art style and color palette.  And the mouse of course!

Really clever idea with some fun art and storytelling, but is kinda frustrating to play because of how hard it is to tell the hitboxes of anything. I'd definitely suggest putting in a shadow underneath everything to show you when you're touching an object. Still pretty fun though.

Love the idea! It was a little tricky figuring out the hitboxes of the traps/cat though.

It was really fun trying to figure out which traps to use and where, eventually i settled on the ones that i could recharge quickly and just run around in circles.

The cat's collision to the traps can definitely be improved, i feel like sometimes the cat just wheezes past the traps that I've set, which definitely adds to the tension but it made it a whole lot more unpredictable.

The art style is very cute and the sfx just needs a little more polish. The story is funny, and it harmonizes well with the art style. This game definitely has a solid foundation to it.

The graphics are really cute! I had so much fun setting up traps and watching the cat run around the table. It was surprisingly effective :DD

Submitted(+1)

This was quite a bit of fun to play, the game is pretty tough. That cat is relentless!

Submitted(+1)

Love it but I feel like the cat sometimes goes through the traps that I place so my plans unfortuately doesnt work out Lol. But fun game and I like the art too!
