Very cool idea and cute presentation. But it's haaard :) Not a criticism per se, when I managed to catch the flow it is quite addictive and I'm sure exact feeling could be ironed out with tests. The core mechanic is so elegant, that I can imagine it to be explored in number of ways and situations. On thing I would like to see improvement on is narrative. I figured that my actions somehow affects grandma but was a bit confused what happens in the end. Congrats on the submission and good luck if you'll continue development post jam.
Really cute game! The countdowns could use some balancing, but the art is cute!
Waiting 5 or 3 Seconds to press E and missing "0" generally made me a bit sad, and everytime i try to make pigeons leave i loose why idk. But i loved the game!
Yes, the decision to use a timer for entering the minigames was a poor one; furthermore, the mechanic for exiting the minigames was poorly explained in the tutorial. Some people expected to exit automatically upon winning, rather than having to leave whenever they saw fit. Thanks for playing and for the feedback ๐ธ๐ธ
Very cute game. The cat is just like our office cat Gooseberry.
(I have never played the game in this image or know what it's about.)

Now onto the review:
The premise is fun, but I feel like the timers on your actions feel like they take away more from the game than they give in return. At the very least you shouldn't have to wait 4 seconds in order to access a minigame.
Also I adore the sprites and the sounds of the cat.
I agree with you; I had set up timers to trigger the minigames before creating the tutorial—intending for them to help players grasp the mechanics—but once the tutorial scene was in place, they became redundant! Iโve never played Metaphor: ReFantazio either, and you don't need to have played it before playing The Cat is a Metaphor, the games are unrelated to each other, despite the similarities ๐น๐น๐นThanks for playing ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ
Love the cat, the game was a little confusing for me at first, even after the tutorial. But i got it eventually
I really like it! but it was a little hard for my small brain to keep up.
Fun little game. I was really confused at first, I didn't understand how the quick-time-event bars worked. But after that the game got pretty nice.
Please tell me you recorded the meows yourself.
I know this is about countdowns, but I kept wanting to hit stuff as soon as I saw it D:
Setting and cat are cute, so that's a plus.
I enjoyed all of the grandma's voicelines. Really cute pixel art as well!
