Really cool game, reminds me a bit of the card game Kiri-Ai. Love the concept and the artwork is gorgeous.

Super nice visuals!

Really neat take on the theme! I also loved the aesthetic, the audio and art style worked really well together. It took a minute to figure out exactly how everything worked and I found the single player mode pretty easy once I did. But I could definitely see how this could end up being pretty fun in multiplayer. Nice job!

This can go crazy with other people. The art and music reminded me of Samurai Champloo, which is awesome.

Samurai champloo is clearly one of our big ref for the game thank you very much !

Aesthetics are amazing! I also really liked the gameplay but sadly the AI is bad and no one was playing the multiplayer when I was matchmaking XD. Crazy to see a multiplayer game in this jam btw!

Hey thanks for the feedback :)

It's local multiplayer (meaning you need to play with someone else on the same machine)
As for the IA, I think we're mostly happy that we managed to have both the multiplayer and the solo mode during a jam. Even if both are not perfect ^^

Oh I see! I'll find a friend to play it with when I get the chance then! I think it has a good potential for fun 1v1s against real ppl

Love the artstyle.  <3
Was confused at first, but then played couple of times!

Great job! :)

Cool idea! Loved the lo-fi samurai ascetic :) Felt confusing at first, but a few tries and got a hold of it.

Visually stunning and well put together, difficult to get the hang of though :).

Art is very well made, but I wish there were better onboarding, as it is a bit difficult to understand

The art is amazing! at first it took me a while to understand what each ability does, maybe the explanation was a bit confusing, but  it was really fun once I figured out how it works

Visually this made me say "Wow" - beautiful and stylish execution of the idea. The cassette tapes representing moves and lives is awesome.

I think the gameplay is fun, but it definitely is not immediately grokkable what each ability does. I'm still not super clear on the variations of defend and attack and which beats what. I think the explanation could use a bit of a rewrite and probably some examples. I also wish the spacing between characters was a little more clear (lines on the ground or something?). It was hard sometimes to tell if move/dash was putting me in danger or not. Having "wait" be a secret fifth option was interesting.

I had fun playing it, but honestly think it'd be more fun to watch a streamer play it, which is a little bit of a knock on the gameplay but moreso a big, big compliment to the graphics, especially in such a sort timeframe. Kudos!
