How does your game fit the theme?
You've got 60 seconds before the bomb goes off. Hit a hazard and you don't just get hurt — you lose 5 seconds straight off the clock.

Hey guys, I have read some of the feedback and realised the game was unfortunately not exported correctly. As I am not able to change the game until rating period is over there is not much I can do, I apologise for this. Once the rating period finishes I will reopload the game and hopefully everything will finally make sense. Thank you so much for the feedback, I really appreciate it.

See desccription for full credits

(Optional) What would you like to be called if GMTK features your game?

Loading up the game gives a bunch of gdscript errors in the console which unfortunately lock input, I was able to get to the right side of the first frame on my first playthrough but nothing would happen so I had to restart and was never able to move again D:

nevertheless I can see a lot of effort went into this and the movement was very smooth when it did work, I especially liked going up and down the stairs which worked flawlessly even when jumping on and off them. I also read this is your first jam, welcome to the family ahah! well done, keep going :)

A lot of potential

Looks like a pretty solid first game, unfortunately I had some issues with the controls and getting though level 1 but I can see this being pretty neat.

For a first game this is pretty good! I got stuck early on but I can tell there's a lot of thought put into the level design and visual language of the world. Well done!

I hope you keep with game design! Unfortunately I cant say much about the game because I couldn't get very far. Could you add some controls/objectives to your description?

Submitted(+1)

The art and music looks pretty solid, but I couldn't figure out how to move the character. Not sure if that's part of the export issues mentioned, but seems others are able to play more than I was able to figure out. If I'm somehow completely missing what the controls are, you can update the page with control info

Regardless, welcome to the jam community!

I have the same criticisms as everyone else, so I'll instead say congratulations on completing your first game jam. Hopefully this doesn't deter you from doing jams in the future... Stuff like this is bound to happen but that's the fun of the jam sometimes. My only criticism I will repeat is make sure you have instructions for how to play either in-game or in your game's descriptions.

It's unfortunate to see the game didn't export correctly, specially on your first game jam, but i hope it won't make you stop joining them all together. I'm looking forward to seeing what the game is actually like once you do reupload.

It's unfortunate that the game was not exported correctly, but it's a really good art style and design choice. I feel like it has a lot of potential, good luck in the future!

There was no onboarding sadly because it felt good and artstyle is really good, but I couldn't figure out what I had to do.

I think your art looks cool! I have similar criticism as others but I see there was something wrong with the upload so I'm curious to see how it turns out afterwards. Keep at it!

Thank you so much!!!

The art style was appealing, but I found it difficult to tell what was decorative and what I could actually interact with. I spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out what I was supposed to do and what the controls were before eventually giving up.

That said, the movement felt smooth, and I liked the overall art direction. I think with a bit more guidance at the start, it would be much easier to get into.

Thank you so much for feedback, I will update it and reopload once the jam is fully over.

I love the art style! The music also fits in perfectly with the overall vibe!

Developer

thank you so much!!!

There are issues with the visual accents in the level. Some elements are impassable even though they look like simple background art.

Developer

Yeah I had some issues with the exported file, once the jam is over I will update it, thank you

Great Art And Audio Design! whats missing here however are visual indicators for just about everything. controls, objective and even the timer on the bottom left felt invisible without any sfx to alert the player, Adding These Could Have Made a Great Experience To An Already intresting Concept!

The art style is clean and smooth, and the music sets a great mysterious atmosphere. I would definitely come back to play the game if you update it in the future!

Good art but needs some clarifications on collisions and what in the level is considered a hazard
