How does your game fit the theme?
The Broken Clock is a short puzzle game about fixing time from the inside. You guide two cursors through a living clockwork machine, recording their paths in short loops so one can replay while the other acts. Hold buttons, turn cranks, and invert time when a mistake locks you in — then race the countdown before the gears jam for good.

Hi. What a great puzzle game!! I really enjoyed it (Although I cheated a bit because I didn't understand it at first, so I watched your youtube video to know what to do). Congratulations on a great game.

The visuals and overall style of the game is so nice, and I like the puzzles !! Very cool :D

Really great visuals and the core gameplay idea was really unique! Such a good use of the theme. I ended up getting stuck at the elevator puzzle, because no matter where I rotated it to it would never let the cursor past it. I also found the cursor would slide while trying to interact with stuff which made the puzzles a bit more uncomfortable but it didn't get too in the way. Overall, really solid concept and you executed it well given how short the jam was. Nicely done!

The artwork is absolutely amazing. Although the game is a little confusing 😅

Developer

Haha! Yes, I should have worked more on that but I wanted to do artwork too much ^^'

The puzzles are very unique. I managed to finish it but even at the end I didn’t manage to comprehend the reverse time mechanics. I got mainly that I need to block the path back because the timeline is not recorded as position but as movement which is really cool. The atmosphere is phenomenal.

Hello (from SOJ) Great game! I am impressed by all the work accomplished in such a short time.

Developer

Thanks a lot! Congrats on your game too! It was really poetic and sweet

Neat game with a great concept, the visual refinement is amazing for a jam game, and the puzzles were very satisfying to interact with! Only thing I'd like to point out is that having to physically readjust the mouse to keep going up felt uncomfortable at times, in the more vertical spaces, but I also realize it's a troublesome problem to solve

Wow everything is so well made.

Developer

Thank you so much, again congrats on your game! Really made me laugh!

This is a gem, everything is so well thought out, the whole atmosphere is amazing (I’m biased as Princes & Princesses is my favorite childhood animated movie but still) and the puzzle is super interesting, this is a 5/5 all around

Developer

Thank you so much! Coming from you means a lot since I really liked your game.

Gorgeous, impressing for a 4 days jam. Puzzles are a bit hard, especially at the beginning of the game, be the mechanic is fun and smart!

i thought of an idea similar to this right as the submission period ended, and im so glad someone did it, furthermore with such good execution! visuals are great, the puzzles scale in difficulty perfectly, and id love to see this expanded more! my only two things are that at the final puzzle the gears got permanently stuck and i was softlocked (but i basically beat the game since that's the last segment), and my other would be that the cursors could be replaced with a more unique sprite, but that's not as big of a deal. all in all this is easily one of my favorites, and probably the most excited i got opening a game from this jam. fantastic job!!!

Yes! I tried to fix this problem but... I'm so bad at coding so far, couldn't really find a proper solution. I wanted to make a beautiful sprite for the jam but... Time was my enemy (I lost a whole morning on the mouse animation). Thanks a lot for the feedback! Loved your game so it means a lot to me

The animation and the visuals are on another level, so good. I got stuck at the elevator puzzle though. I wanted to see the rest of the game but all good <3

Developer(+1)

Sorry about this elevator puzzle, it was really a mistake putting it so soon. I hope it still was a good experience though. COngrats on your game again!
