Fun game ! the art and the narrative is great !
Thank you very much. I'm glad you liked the game 😊
A very well-polished experience! It's a well-known puzzle, but you had some really interesting twists on it!
I had a blast with this game! Sad that it's so short because the experience is so smooth and really kept me engaged--an impressively polished small game.
Thank you very much for your review. I'm glad you liked the experience 😊
Incredible. Super polished, spot on with the theme, really cool iterations on a classic logic problem, and the art and music are stellar. 10/10. Absolute banger.
Thank you very much for your review 😊 I'm glad you liked the game!
the only thing I found myself wishing for at the end was an endless mode where I could try to go for a high score, perhaps with a life system so I can fail at least one or two puzzles before being eliminated. As is the core loop is great, but doesn’t really punish you too much for being bad at it or reward you much if you play consistently and make no mistakes. If I could show off how many rounds I was able to survive I would be motivated to lock in and really try to solve each puzzle rather than just rolling the dice and hoping for a good outcome until I win (which I did on a few puzzles!).
Really polished game for a game jam!
The characters were all charming in their own way and made me want to get to the end to see them all.
The duels ended up feeling a little bit too random at the end, since your opponent also has special cards, and you can't really plan around them, but having a checkpoint at the start of each duel made it a question of time.
The special cards did add quite a lot to the game though especially when you have them so I did like their inclusions.
Also really liked seeing the bonus art after finishing the game! Congrats!
Thank you very much for your kind and detailed review! I'm glad you liked all the designs of the demons. I agree, I think the random part could be more balanced, maybe by knowing what are the special cards in your opponent hand? I am planning to publish an edited version of the project after the game jam thanks to all the feedbacks 😊
The reason why I'd score this a bit lower on the gameplay aspect is because the counting thing is solved. If you're the one going first, you're always able to win. Regarding the art I was very amused. The design is cute and coherent, and I'd love to see you develop something with more gameplay value in this style!
Thank you very much for your review. Your comment about the gameplay is very understandable, that's also why I added some special cards and the fact you don't see the move of your opponent: sometimes, the player who starts is really not the winner at the end. I'm also glad you liked the art. 😊
great atmosphere and character designs! i thought the order in which you introduced new cards worked really well to ramp up the difficulty as well- i enjoyed this a lot!
Thank you very much for your review 😊
The gameplay really cool and kinda give vibe of RE7 mini game for me.
And it also energized my desire to play by looking at the rivals in each level, it's really well-designed.
If you have the time, please try and rate my game too :D
Thank you very much for your kind comment 😊
the gameplay is very unique and i LOVE the art. very very coools
This is so awesome. Love the art, love the gameplay, and the writing had some serious charm. Amazing job!
Thank you very much for reviewing our game, and for your kind comment. It counts a lot from you 🙏
Great spin on Nim. Amazing art, too. Solid submission!
Nice spin on that classic Nim game! I especially like the card that allow your opponent to hide the card they chose, it really makes you think your strategy differently.
The art is also really solid, I like the fact that every opponent has a unique design. And it’s cool to see concept arts as a bonus :)
Great work!
Thank you very much for your kind review 😊 Merci beaucoup d'avoir joué au jeu :)
Very impressed by the art and the level of polish !
I think an option to speed up a little bit the game could be of interest, otherwise just congrats !
Thank you a lot for your kind review 😊. I agree, that could be a good idea to speed a bit the animations of the moves!
Super cool game! I really ejoyed it, I like these simple card games.
Died a bit of times but I managed to finish it. Maybe a game speed option would have been great, especially when you die multiple times
Thank you very much for your kind review. I agree, that could be a good idea to speed a bit the animations of the moves!
Amazing artwork and character designs! Nim is the perfect game for the Countdown theme, and all the special cards make it way more interesting to play. One of the best games in the jam for sure!
Thank you very much for your very kind review, I'm glad you liked the game 😊
Ok seriously, this for me is one of the winners of the jam. There are just few games that were able to integrate the concept of counting down as core mechanic of their games. This is incredibly well, done. An interesting game design with a good challenge. My suggestion, polish this up, and put it on Steam. It could be the next Buckshot Roulette. Great job!
Thank you a lot for your very kind review. I'm glad you liked the game 😊
Really good! I'm gonna go against some of the other comments and say I'm glad death is so forgiving, because it would be annoying to start all the way over because you lost one coin flip. Maybe in an expanded version where each round goes multiple hands like Buckshot Roulette that'd work, but I think being able to try again right away was the right call for a game jam.
Thank you very much for your review and sharing your though about our game😊
Une réadaptation tres chouette de buckshot roullette !!! Cest rigolo parcequ'on s'en est aussi inspiré mais le jeu est totalement different !!
all around 5 stars, I agree with what that other person said, I feel like death should be more punishing... but I understand it would be pretty annoying for the player, maybe add something to speed up the turns?
Thank you very much for that kind review! I agree that timing animation could be faster to start again faster :) That's the type of feedback and details we see after the gamejam is finished ^^
Woah this is crazily well done.
Thank you very much 😊
