I think this has huge potential as a fully fledged game. The art and atmosphere is really creepy and towards the end I was getting really freaked out haha

How does your game fit the theme?
In the game, everything runs on a clock. The people and the building. Your goal is to escape before your clock or the building's clock runs out. For that to be possible, you have to make sacrifices and take time from those who are willing to give.

The art direction and atmosphere you created here is absolutely top notch. The whole idea is horryfing, actually I felt a little bit like in eastern european silent hill. I am not 100% sure if I like the fact that some of the animations take my precious time, but I guess it also adds to the dread a little. I wish you would include a little bit more audio effects to make some things even more disgusting. I am not sure in what direction are you planning to go with as a team after the jam, but creating horrors is the way based on what you presented here.
Hey, Bart! I remember you and your game from GMTK 2024 :)
Thanks for the comment! You really hit the note with it :D Comparing us to an "eastern european silent hill" is the best compliment for us. I wanted to add more audio stuff, specific sound effects (especially when opening the doors) and more layers to the ambience in general, but didn't make it in time. There's an update coming after the jam that will include these audio upgrades, among other fixes.
Also good news is that we indeed might be taking the horror route further as a team after this jam.
Very atmospheric and spooky, although Lewis messed me up a bit 😅A puzzle game that you loop through and gain new information on each run is interesting. The art direction and polish was among the better of the games I've played so far. Nice work!
The visuals and atmosphere in this game are top notch! I really love the visual distortions as time runs out. I'm pretty invested and I spent quite a while trying to progress. Unfortunately I've gotten stuck and I'd love a hint so I can see the ending. I think I must be missing an item I can pick up but I feel like I looked pretty thoroughly. I'm stuck trying to get the key from Frank. I was hoping I could set him up with the sad lady but I haven't found a way to progress at all with her. I've found the key, milk, cheese, and rats. I usually get soft locked when I give an item to Mikey, so I'm hoping that's not the solution.
Really impressed with this game I want to see more from ya'll!
Hey, thanks for playing and being so invested, means a lot! :)
Unfortunately, the softlock when you give Mikey an item is a bug that we found too late to fix for the jam.
Fortunately, you can still finish the game:
!!!SPOILER HINT AHEAD!!!
You're actually missing one major item. Try speaking to Janet again after she rejects you the first time, if you had already spoke to Yasna about Frank (the game should remember it from your previous runs if you did). Janet might have something to convince Frank, if you don't make her angry with your answers.
Also, the softlock bug with Mikey only happens if the time transfer kills him when you give him the milk or rat, so if you take the milk or cheese and rats quickly and run to Mikey, he will survive and you will not get softlocked.
!!!END OF SPOILER HINT!!!
Let me know if you manage to finish it. I hope you will enjoy the ending :)
The game is straight up horrifying. The atmosphere setup is great, everything about this game is perfect. I hope you get more ratings, you deserve it man
This was such an amazing experience.
Like a few said before, the visuals are everything here, I love it. Really solid atmosphere and level design for the setting.
Gameplay is really nice as well - becomes a bit of a speedrun as reruns happen but that's bound to happen. Loved all the characters, they were all interesting to say the least. The child jump scare is perhaps one of the best jump scares I have seen in a video game - provided I dont play many horror games.
I did have issues with the cursor quite a bit, it's sensitivity was way too high for me, even when I dropped my mouse's sensitivity, it remained high in game for some reason.
Another thing would be to maybe slow down time a bit when speaking with characters, kinda makes me not want to talk to characters after a few runs.
The horror element of it is fantastic and it is a brilliant game. Honestly great work!
AMAZING. Looks very good. Such a great idea for a game as well. Camera look sensitivity started out way too high for me so thank you for letting me change that in the settings :)
I am absolutely amazed, this was an entire experience! I don't think I'll forget how I felt when the plot twist happened, absolutely terrifying!
Love the real life shots as intro and outro, really selling the atmosphere from the get go. The ambiance throughout was deliciously twisted, the effects and story add so much to the stress of having the time run out, it's absolutely vile! (in the best way)
Liked the art style and the atmosphere a lot. Spooky Blue Prince vibes.
I Liked the game although i would have loved for there to be more to figure out. I do also like the narrative. It's a little unnerving witch i would like to see more of and the child's background speaks volumes. THat was the most interesting part
