This game is really fun. I love the premise. I finally beat that dumb bird that I hate. I think that the bird was a fun and difficult challenge, but the mentor  boss battle is a really high and annoying-to-manage difficulty spike. I'm sad there's no shot sprite for the dog! I think the lack of music is okay, but music would definitely elevate the experience. I love this game.  Also, the text would overlap weird. However, I love this game.  The timing (except for during the final boss) feels great. The kitty reminds me of John Wick, which automatically makes me feel cool playing as it. If this game got a full and polished release, I would definitely play that, too. Excellent work!

Loved it! A lot of potential here.
The later level are hard tho. Also some text alignment issues in the cards.

The character art is so good! As another animal game submission, we love all the animal designs!

I did feel the controls to be slightly weird, with W, R, Space and Left click but arrow keys for selection? I feel that could be an easy but very rewarding UX fix by making the selection with S & D buttons so I don't have to move my hands around every round

Otherwise, I had a lot of fun playing it, and would love to see a post jam version with more fights and maybe stories!

So your telling me I get to play as a cat who duels people......10 out 10.

Overall this game was really fun, definitely the most enjoyable game I've played so far, but I'm also a sucker for rhythm games. Great job on your game and I hope you do a post jam update, because I'll be there day one!

great art style and sfx created an intense overall feel. we love that the tempo keeps getting faster and faster through levels since players’ skills also rise over time.

we noticed that the enemies have their own patterns, would love to see if there is a battle that forces us to guess what they will do next.

really polished game, nicely done!

Great art and concept. Reminds me of a game I played as a kid, we called it Indiana Jones and you chose either shoot reload or block (its probably called other things elsewhere). Bit of a nostalgia trip!

The game was a bit cutoff for me though on the sides, so I spammed keys until I shot since I couldn't see the instructions lol.

Great concept and execution! Also as someone who struggles to name games this game is named very well.

Thats such a good rhythm game, I had no idea it would be so dang satisfying. 5 stars

I couldn't see full screen of the game (the sides). But managed to play it by reading instructions from description. Lovely art style and loved the gameplay! Rats are scary man

Heya, thanks for playing our game! The UI scaling is kinda wonky (we did it in the last hour on low sleep) so it doesnt work well on non 16:9 monitors. Glad you liked it!

My favorite part about this game was how satisfying it was to simply press a button at the perfect time. You nailed the game juice on that and its what really got me hooked! Awesome job!

Thanks for the praise! Really glad you enjoyed it

I loved this!!! Loved how you needed to preform actions on beat. The art style was also super cute. Great work ₍^. .^₎Ⳋ ✮

I love the art and style! I also really like that it's a rhythm-based game, super fun and creative. Awesome game!

Very cool game. As an avid enjoyer of rhythm games (osu! in particular) I found this very cool. Also quite fun learning the patterns of the bosses.

Simple concept executed really well.
Aside from some buggy menus, such as the shop, the game was very solid and enjoyable!

The game did unfortunately crash on me when I beat the last boss :(

I could totally see this as a fully developed title, the art is outstanding!

such a solid, fun concept! I'll definitely echo some of the other comments and say that I wish there was music to go alongside the beats, though I'll also throw in the idea of some other audio cue to help the player along in case you want to keep the quiet, tense vibe it has. either addition would make this go from really great to fantastic!

FINALLY GOT THE FINAL BOSS !!! To be frank, I think this has to be the game I enjoyed playing the most this whole game, very polished gameplay ^^

(The game crashed when I beat the final boss though aha)

Very nice game! Too bad it doesn't have music, but i had a lot of fun. Couldn't beat the boss though :D

Super fun!! Feels very polished and addictive. Very satisfying to hit timings perfectly. The tutorial had me a little confused at first, but once I got it to gameplay it clicked very quickly.
