How does your game fit the theme?
Main thing : Instead of leveling up you level down. Other : Stages are won when timer hits 0, and basically every number in the game goes down

That's a pretty novel idea having the character start out stronger and then remove some of their ability in a survival game. I sucked at it, but I kept getting a few of them down pretty consistently. I think you could flesh this out into something really nice! Good work.

It's a good idea, but it's a bit difficult.

The idea is sound, but I wish it didn't feel like I die to randomness (or I just have a skill issue idk). Keep exploring the idea!

The movement speed debuff is brutal, I really wanted to know what you get for that one in the negative but couldn't get there haha. Awesome idea on the theme. Thought it was only going to be your character getting weaker but the negative abilities were a cool twist. Could definitely see this idea expanded on in a lot of ways.

Fun, new idea on a popular genre! Wish there was more different stats to level down.

I like this idea a lot!  I like how the downgrade system forces you to either completely lose a stat for a round, or play with 2 significantly nerfed ones, before you get the buff of a negative stat, and then you have to make that decision again when you max out (min out?) the negative stat.  I wish there was more to play so it could last longer, and you could go from being completely feeble with 0 stats all the way to busted powerful with all negative stats.  It'd also be interesting to play with other abilities that become more powerful with negative stats, like being able to move extremely quickly but all of your controls are reversed (negative movement speed), and so on.

Also I had no audio? I don't know if that's a bug or if there simply is none

Mega speed but control reversed was definitely something I though about lol. I decided not to do it because then it would be hard to keep the same logic for other stats while keeping gameplay engaging.

No audio yeah we almost had a sound designer but ended up going without and ngl I was a bit short on time to even think about adding music, definitely would be better with a soundtrack :)

tough game!! leveling down below zero is a pretty cool idea though, i would have liked to have seen the player character at a full -2 in every stat!

I suck, after a dozen tries I wasn't able to pass the third level :( But the concept is really cool, I did manage to try what the negative values do, and it's a very good idea. Good job, it was fun!

The game is hard, as mentioned I didn't realise how punishing my hitboxes/hurtboxes were... Don't worry if you struggle passing a level, its not you, its me lol. I figured a good build is going negative on the shield, given you can manage passing level 0 (second level) hitless

Really cool that instead of buffing enemies, the game scales difficulty by weakening you. Though since going negative unlocks extra abilities, stage 2 was the hardest for me since you get neither there. Got -18 as my best.

Really good art and great idea!

The second level was really hard for me to get past - but that process of figuring out what I could do without was one of the most interesting parts of the game. As someone else said, the hit boxes for collisions were a lot larger than expected...

Fantastic work :)

Interesting interpretation of the theme, I enjoyed playing it. The art style also pretty nice, well done:)

The collisions were really annoying, but Cool Game!!
