How does your game fit the theme?
There is a countdown until nightfall where there's a surprising twist. Separately, you keep the needs of your pets from reaching zero.

An incredibly cool game! It starts out cute and peaceful, but it gets really hard to keep up with feeding, brushing, and watering them all at once. That's when the cute little creature turns into a monster! An awesome contrast, beautiful art and animations, and a great soundtrack!
Very silly and cute, nice job :)
fluffy is so cute but so mean! i'm glad you added alternate controls; i think having the option to aim with mouse would be nice. other than that, this was great!
I was not expecting fluffy to attack, this was fun haha.
WHY DOES FLUFFY SOMETIMES HATE ME? lol
I am HOWLING in laughter this game is so funny I was so stressed when our cute fluffy friend turns into a bloodthirsty monster! I see a lot of people calling this game cute and it really is, but it is also a terrifying experience HAHA (in a very good way)
Love the visual design, love the music, and love the simple rules! Like a really epic pet care simulator hehe. I almost managed to make some music with the saxophone but I was so stressed about all the needs going down so fast that I couldn't focus on it. It felt like there could be some work on the balance? Especially for the first play where we discover the game. Giving the player more time to understand what's going on and then BAM give a chase that they have a chance to counter. But that's for if you work on this game more after the jam :D
The game looks very cute! Love the artstyle and the music. But apart from that, I found it super hard to play. The way you laid out the controls (arrows to move and the Z and X buttons to do things especially aiming with arrows) took the enjoyment part away from me. Also the movement could be done better, but I totally get that you were short of time to polish that.
I totally get the game can be a bit difficult to play. Regarding the controls: we added alternative keys since some team members preferred different keys. Personally I usually used shift to dash and z to throw. Sadly I didn't anticipate that these keys could be overlooked by people who miss them in the description so thanks for letting me know!
This game is so pretty and cute!! I enjoyed it! When I realized Fluffy could take care of itself during night phase, I felt very clever :) It's cool that the music matches the different phases, it adds a lot. After your comment on my game, I knew there was a rhythm part but I would have missed it if I didn't go look for it. Not sure if you intended it this way.
this art style is so adorable oh my gosh!! great work, really clever and fun idea :)
I liked the art style, and I think it was a creative way to interpret the jam theme. The idea of combining the countdown with taking care of a pet is an interesting approach. Good job on your submission!
Thank you so much to giving such detailed feedback! Had a great time watching you figure out what all the items do. The game very much came together at the last day so we has less time for polishing than I'd liked but that's to be expected during a game jam haha
Oh thank you so much for taking the time to review it! Appreciate it!! Glad you liked the music, our composer Anthony did a great job!
Also we ran out of time and forgot to put the sliderto 50% but there is technically a pause menu with ESC for anyone else playing it :D
(btw if you wanted permission to post publicly from our team you have it, but no worries either way :) )
Oh right, I can see that making the video unlisted might come across that way 😅. It's just that I made it for an itch audience, not for general YouTube
