I really like the effort put into the tutorial. The levels were fun, it would be nice if there was a way of advancing the timer to the next character that wasn't just dying. Besides that the animations were really nice, a death animation would also help a bunch. Good job!

I like the concept of having to sacrifice your characters to solve a puzzle! The art and music are nice too. Keep up the good work!

Very cool! I tried without playing the tutorial and didn’t get anything so I had to go back to understand the game^^ Once I’d done it, it was pretty good! Great job!

Maybe a feedback on the tutorial : it’s a bit too long! Maybe only the first three parts are necessary. Then it’s understood through the levels, imo. Or maybe work the tutorial into the game? I dunno.

The art is very nice :D

Developer

The tutorial was kind of our demo for the game, hence why it's so long (we might have made the actual levels last minute XD)

We hope to make a full release that feels better to play sometime soon !

Thank you for playing and for your input !

Is there a way to speed up time? As the knight guy, I just sat on the button for 30 seconds so when I switched to the slime his gate would be open. But then his gate closed right after? I think I didn't understand the gameplay, but with a proper tutorial, this concept could be really cool! Also fire game name!

Developer

Hi! Thank you for checking the game !

The only way to speed up time right now is to kill your character by triggering the spikes or axes as we didn't have time to make a proper end button but we plan to add one in a future version.

Also the stone can't push buttons wich isn't really clear I do agree because the idea was to have different gorgons applying different property to the block and the base ones don't have gravity /can't push buttons.

As such you need to put a box on them to make the button press persist throught the last character right now.

Sorry for the lack of indication but I hope you still liked your experience ^^.

Controlling the three (very different) separate characters is very ambitious and  reminds me a bit of "Little Samson" for the NES. Quite fun once I got the hang of it!

Developer(+1)

If you like it,stay tuned, we wish to release a polished and bug free version of the game sometime later !

Will do!

I was a little confused at first but once I got the hang of it I had a lot of fun! Super creative use of the theme. I love the slime guy so much.

Developer

Finally somebody recognized the greatness of the slime guy ^^ ! All the love usually goes to the ninja .

His name is Jefferson the slime king and he is a really cool guy xD

Loved the multi-character based puzzle situation going on and how each character have their own unique ability or control and how they interacte with the game environment. The art was amazing, the auido and the concept everything was very good. With the bugs fixed, I can see it as a fun game to play and try to complete in one sitting haha

Developer

Thank you for playing!

We hope to release a full version of it with better levels and the bugs fixed, follow our page if you're interested !

Definetly will check it out. Great job guys.

I like the idea of controlling different characters for a puzzle, so this is already a big plus for me!

I’m pretty sure at this point the others have said their piece on the buggy mess the game is currrently in.

Here’s my unique two cents:

  • Bug: there’s a solid invisible collision box where the characters have been when you reset back to the previous character.
  • Bug: the characters don’t turn into stone when they die if the characters replay..
  • The ninja is definitely too fast…
  • The levels could have been done in one screen.
    • This solves the camera issue early on. You can even zoom out instead for bigger levels.
    • This saves just waiting a few seconds to pan to each character in the scene as well
    • This also gives off visibility issues if you have way too big of a stage, not noticing what is included in the puzzle (a button missing from the character pans, for example)
  • A button to immediately pass to the other character is nice, especially where you have situtaions where you would want to wait (the tutorial is an example)

In the credits there was a lack of an artist, so I assume much of that time has been working too much on the graphics instead of programming and level design as a priority. You want to make it work first so you don’t end up with such a buggy mess. That’s just my point of view though… something tells me you all had way less time to work on this than the alloted amount.

Either way, post-jam I hope you all thrive with this as it’s already a fun concept to play with!

Thank you for playing !

The time we had to make this was indeed too short for us, but we plan on making a better release sometime later. The bugs and gameplay issues are known but we didn't have time to fix them before the deadline. There are some tweaks to be done to gameplay and the tutorial doesn't cover all the mechanics, but it'll be fixed soon and we'll have a polished game to show :)

Thank you for your observations, it means a lot to us !

Really cool concept! I like that all 3 characters control differently. The art is amazing and the music is nice. Though the camera on levels 4 and 5 don't display correctly? I could see outside of the map and i couldn't see the button where the slime was supposed to go on level 4. Also, i think level 4 is unbeatable (the door that the slime is supposed to open doesn't open. Also something I noticed is that level 6 is missing (it jumps to level 7 from 5). The levels that did work for me were cool tho.

Thank you for checking the game ^^.

Sorry for the state of the levels it is our second jam and our first platformer so we still need to tune our schedule to not be rushed when making them. All the levels are indeed beatable but some are in a buggy state and may need resets.

As for level 6 he sadly didn't make it in time :'l

We plan to improve the game and release a polished version with multiple worlds later. And might even make it a full project as the idea was really interesting to develop.

I hope you still had fun anyway ^^

Fun game! Clever level design having 3 distinct playable characters

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much. It was also really fun to make and we are glad you liked it ^^

Artwork was expressive and have great music! The idea was there but a shame the level is broken.

Developer

Thank you! We had to rush the levels sadly but we might polish the game and make an actual release of it!

Fun concept of multi characters! A reset button on a per level basis would nice when I mess up haha.

Thanks for checking out our game too <3.

Submitted(+2)

I kinda missed it too but if you hold R it is a level reset for PREVIOUS character which is even better

Developer

As someone else said, you can reset to the previous character by holding and releasing the R key

We forgot to show this in the tutorial along with the mechanics of characters turning to stone upon death, but we plan to make a better relase later with better levels and less glitches !
