nice game, a bit buggy but I really love the idea and the art styleeee

sadly, every time I play it, I find a new bug. first time, I got stuck fighting a ghost, and after every ghost attack, it gave me 5–6 card choices at once. The second time, I got stuck fighting a demon, and again, I couldn't deal any damage. overall, I like the concept. The art is cool, good job.

It looks really stunning

I feel like I've been eaten, hahahaha

The game is unusual. Card combat and you have to count cards and see what they do! The music is pleasant, it doesn't get boring. The sounds are a bit lacking, but this is jam-packed, and the gameplay is more important here, and there is gameplay here, and it's great. Thanks for such a game! The demon mobs are amazing, hahaha

The concept is nice ! I can see it being expanded further !

You can take a lot of time in the card choice menu at some point, so maybe the flow should be checked if you don't want players to stay in that menu longer than the combat phase.

very enjoyable and nice take on a deckbuilder. Quickly gets a bit crazy with the amount of draws, but the progression was very nicely boosted so it doesnt take long to get powerful. Only thing missing is a stat screen so I can see how juiced my character is.

Cool narrative and cool concept . loved the art style. Need some balancing but thats nearly impossible to expect in a game jam . Had a lot of fun playing it ! I just got a lot of get card on taking damage and then Id just get so many cards that id one shot everyone. amazing autobattler disguised as a card game . loved it

I enjoy the art style and being told to go to hell :)

It's an ambitious game, I can understand you guys didn't have time to fix bugs or polish the game. I liked the gameplay, it justifies the theme perfectly at the same time it felt odd. The player and the enemy attacks can trigger simultaneously and none of them may hit, it just felt a bit odd to me. The music captured the vibe of the game and the art style is cute, I liked the game but just gave some honest feedback :D [it would be much easier if we had a proper turn based game but then again it would not fit within the theme, I appreciate your creativity; well done!]

Developer

thank you for this good feedback

Very enjoyable, I liked the stacking effects of the cards, art is cute too! Fun game, congrats :)

Cool theming and art style. For a tutorial I would consider stagering the information more so theres not so much on screen at once, I wasn't really sure where to start.

Cool concept, reminded me of slay the spire and those auto battler style games on mobile like whiteout survival and idle mafia. Really liked your artstyle! Cheers

I like the concept! I'm curious to know if you had considered forcing the player to make the card selection in real time as the battle was ongoing. The reason I ask is because when you draw multiple cards in a row, it breaks up the flow of the battle (especially if you take your time to read and consider each card).

Developer

we didn't considered this because I thought it was a bad idea to not let the player have the time to read the cards. but it might be something good to add for when you need to take more then one card at a time.

like the idea, needs a little polishing though

Its an interesting premise and I liked the feeling of getting progressively more powerful but I had a few gripes. It was clearly better to get more card draw (usually is) but that meant clicking through page after page of upgrades. then turning around and deleting 100 of them. I would rather have fewer upgrades that persist through the game. It felt like a deck builder but without the vital point of having card draw randomness.

The theme and art are nice though.

I love how at the start you're kinda lame, but then once you get a lot of cards from each hit you become basically invincible and just slaps everyone on the face. Fun and addictive game :D

It was a very fun experience! Like the first comment said, I found there were a lot of cards picking on level -1. But at one point I got so broken I rolled over every other level, which was very satisfying. Until I bought a weapon and my character became worst in all stats. And then I improved again and rolled over every level, only to be worst again once I was facing the final boss. Is this intended?

All in all, it was very addictive, especially the feeling of utterly destroying everyone was very good.

Good work!

Developer

we tried to avoid the player getting exponentially strong and never have part of struggle, so hope fully that wasn't too annoying

Love the concept of this! I sadly also got the problem of not being able to deal any damage to a demon mob once it reached 1 HP, but otherwise it was a really satisfying gameplay! Being able to rapidly increase my collection of cards was quite satisfying. I feel like this game could get pretty addictive to me if it was a tad more polished, I caught myself just vibing to the music and zoning out as I was clicking around the cards and passively looking at the fight unfold hehe

Small details I do have to note on:

  • the neon green text on the cards is quite hard to read on a light brown background.
  • I had a hard time understanding what the values of certain elements were at any given moment or what they linked to for some, the difference between weapon damage and damage is unclear to me for example.
  • I feel like the attacks lack at least a small sound effect, to differentiate between a hit and a dodge

Good job on the game!!

i liked it !! nice game, nice team, i was happy to work on it !! though i got a few times mobs that was very dodgy and didn't wanted to get damaged, but i still won !!
