So many vampire-themed games, Mark will have to make a section for it in the video lol.
This type of games runs the risk of trying too hard to fit the count down theme with the actual count down, but this one surely nails it. Great art, creative gameplay, very addictive to play.
Why is there a count dracula obsession in game jams, but this one is good.
Great job, love the aesthetic and art! Very creative use of the countdown theme.
Nice entry, I'm impressed! Good job, the art is amazing and the game is very funny
Really cool game. A new font being used for a difficulty increase in ingenious. The art and gameplay were on point. Really well done :)
Excellent entry, no words... you just nailed it. The style and mechanics and sounds and the amount of polishing is just dope. It was very fun and intence and this game make you feel cool
That's a really cool idea. I'll definitely use this if I decide to expand the game :D
This is such a polished game (especially for game jam!) the art style is very nice and the gameplay loop is simple but intuitive (especially avoiding hitting the black areas). My only crique would it be that sometimes it hard to tell if i hit something successfully and the damage indicators were hard to read. But other than that this was a really fun game!
This being made in RPGMaker is astounding! really cool gameplay mechanic - love that you have to consider and prepare for the number coming next!
Wow this was made in RPGmaker? In any case, very polished and creative especially since the core gameplay is so simple at its core
Yes I used RPG Maker MZ! It's quite simple, really. I just used two main plugins to pull it off: VisuStella Picture Common Events to simulate the shooting mechanic (enemies are picture events that take damage via Common Events). and MogHunter's Picture Effect to add float/breath animations to pictures.
The game looks really good, it feels very polished, and i kind of got addicted to try and go further each time lol. However i do feel like the game can be a bit hard and it lacks some feedback of when the enemies are going to attack, it could add some strategy on who to shoot first and sometimes can feel very punishing when all you health drains away.
Overall it was a very fun game, good job on the entry !
Enemies don't attack :D
You lose health each time you shoot the black area. You lose health with the countdown just in the final level (when it reaches zero and it resets).
ooh my baaad, im slow in the brain, i might give it another try then lol, thanks you for clarifying !
The artwork and sound on this one absolutely blew me away!
Wow this game is really impressive. Every part of the presentation just had really cool style, even the how to play screen. I did find the gameplay to be kind of hard though, and the upgrades didn't feel that impactful. But good job, this game has the sauce
Such a cool idea to shoot between the numbers! Unfortunately, I suck at aiming
Quite nice , loved the style, art style and audio.
interesting, unique, and fun, but the enemies hitting you as soon as they spawn felt unfair
They never hit you. You lose health when you shoot the black area instead of the number.
What a beautiful game!
really awesome game! Simple but fun shooting gallery mechanic and the upgrades were fun. The art is really great too!
Great art and a really interesting idea! Died on the last level but it was very fun!!
Well that's a crazy good one.
The use of the theme is excellent, It's a pretty innovative way to use the countdown as a challenge. And it's made with striking visuals and excellent audio.
Love it, keep it up!
