Simply Great. Easy little game; feels way too polished for how simple it is. But that is what the greatest game jam games are!
simple polish maxxing
This game is really responsive, whenever I drag my mouse, it will send me back the sound. Since your game is based on the terminal, do you think about the BGM for it? I recommend that you have some relaxed 8-bit BGM.
A user suggested some corporate jazz and I think that would be cool
Fun Severence Inspired game, Now I understand what they meant when they said the number look evil. ✪ ω ✪
SUPER FUN!! I got reminded of Cyberpunk netrunner minigames, love all the effects and colors you chose too, great job man!
Thank you means a lot!
Wow! I never thought I'd play a game that somehow perfectly captured the feeling of what the employees in Severance do in their job. The algorithm that freezes numbers into clumps when you are collecting them is genius! It really reinforces that feeling that you can suddenly "see" the data -- hunting down 1 number at a time would ruin that feeling. In my opinion, this is the best example in this entire jam of providing an great intended experience without ruining it with "too many gameplay mechanics".
That's high praise and really appreciate your thoughtful response, thank you so much
The first run I had I pretty much just scoop up a bunch of random numbers hoping to have it contain the right ones but got hit with the misfired punishment. I appreciate the precision required for the game. And how the correct numbers only show when you mouse over it, making it almost like a flashlight effect to search through the piles. How the numbers are clustered together makes a lot of sense and reflects well in the difficulty when they no longer cluster as much for harder levels.
Thanks for the feedback!
The all pink terminal gave me flashbacks to the old green screen days, in the best way. And I have to confess, I tried to brute force the files and got terminated by quality control, which honestly made me respect the game more. You thought of the lazy path and you punish it :)
The Messages area was my favorite touch. Ify saying they hate pink, hate the numbers, and don’t want to do this anymore got a chuckle out of me, whoever writes those deserves a raise from whatever horrible company this is.
A thought for after the jam, some corporate elevator jazz would complete the office purgatory vibe.
Thanks again for giving Dawnfall a spin on stream. Is there more Ify lore hiding in later shifts? I need to know if they make it.
Yes! Great idea with some jazz, I also think I want to remove the time limit on a full release and just let people sort to their hearts content!
You could certainly have a timed mode for those that want to make it competitive and have a timer free version for the folks that want the relaxed vibe and something like Kenny G plays :)
I really like this game! Very well executed!
This is really solid and not like anything I've ever seen before. You mentioned this below in a comment, but if you took the timer out and turned this into a cozy puzzle/sorting game I could see this being very relaxing. Nice job!
Really clever game, I liked the refinement as a balancer to being able to mass collect numbers. I didn't realize I could hold my mouse down, was able to tackle things a lot faster when I did. I really like the design and visuals of the game, title compliments it perfect. Countdown mechanic is clear and non-generic which is always refreshing!
Really good good the sound effect for picking up items was really satisfying.
Not even exaggerating, this had me hooked from the start. Such a cool game, and weirdly satisfying too. I could honestly see myself coming back once a day just to switch my brain off for a bit.
That means the world to me thank you! I think I want to remove the timer if I do a full release and that way it's just a chill sorting game!
I think I need to go to the wellness room after this one
very cute concept and it's very satisfying to collect the numbers
mark was right
The visual effects on the screen were amazing!
It's soo satisfying! The concept is really original. One of the best games I have tried!
That means so much to me ty!
Praise Kier!
I love your game! it is addictive!great job
Very fun and stressful too play. I liked the artwork and the juice that was in the game, I can learn a thing or two since my game is also computer like but different vibe from yours. Wish the game have some ambience music, or maybe being silent suits the high tension feel you guys are going?
Very unique concept! Surprisingly stressful and engaging, the polish on the visuals is also really great, the balancing on where the numbers spawn is also done really well, not sure if it was bugged but I really wish it had music! Great work!!
Very well done game and so hard especially when numbers are being transformed in different ways. Great job!
