Poor humans! You did a good job with their zap sprite, haha. Like someone else mentioned, I'd like to see a third factor in this, something else you have to watch out for. Maybe some humans (a different sprite) want to help water the land? Maybe the bad guys are sluggish in higher temps, but faster when it starts to cool off? Cute submission though, I liked the art!

Thanks for the feedback! I actually don’t remember if it was in the build I was able to publish for the Jam, but I did add (or at least intended to, if it’s not in this build) an effect where shocking people increases temperature, so there’s a bit of give-and-take management where you have to decide if it’s worth it to kill every spawn or just try to rain as much as possible. I definitely have plans to add more enemy types and precipitation types in some post-Jam updates tho!

This title managed to do something no other title has managed so far: teach me what the word "aridification" means.

Seriously though such a charming entry, and given the heat in Europe right now, probably the most topical! Time we stuck it to the man, man!

I’m glad you liked it, and I’m happy something about it spoke to you :)

Didn't have time to see this in the stream, so I had to check it myself! Really cute art style!

One improvement you could try to make this this game more interesting would be adding a third factor, other than just humans and a cloud. That way, killing humans would have its own consequences to handle. Basically, some sort of rock-paper-scissors dynamic!

Good job on the submission nonetheless!

Really interesting concept and execution, the cloud was really cute when it thundered.

Does the game have a win condition? I got the temperature pretty down and nothing happened

Developer(+1)

I didn’t have time to implement one, but if you got it to 0 or past I’d call that “winning” for sure!

The humans never arrived, so i couldn't really do anything...

It might be worth it to try a second run, I forgot to make the example enemy stop in place after arriving, so it’s possible to literally miss it.
