This game does a great job of creating atmosphere and keeping the player on edge. Unlike some games that rely only on a countdown timer to create tension, this one has a story and a strong core idea that make the experience much more engaging.

Great job, and good luck!

Loved it! Once I figured out the controls, I had a lot of fun! And I loved the tension of not being able to find the oxygen tanks and your vision slowly fading!

great game! momentum based movement feels nice to use and it does a great job at making the player feel claustrophobic- didn't manage to beat it cause im on trackpad but i will try to revisit this when i have a mouse

Completed in 30 seconds! I really like how easy it was for me to understand. Went in without reading the desc and still understood what to do in 5 seconds. My only nitpick is that I wish the oxygen timer was a bit more lenient in the beginning, since we don't know where the tanks are until we see at the corner of the screen with 1 second left on the tank, haha. When I came out of the water to see the win screen, I was so relieved XD.

It is very anxiety inducing, I am not good with stress. then i thought i shouldn't quit. it was difficult, but fun. the payoff of winning is greater than the stress and dissapointment of losing. i was surprised to see how short it was, but for a little experience, this was a great one. the controls were a bit clunky, but i assume that was the point a la Bennett Foddy. the music captured the mood very well and i thought it helped the whole 'anxiety' part. (idk why i'm writing so much lol.)

Thanks! I've heard alot about the controls being clunky and while they are meant to be difficult I'll definitely be making them a bit easier to use in a larger scale version since I don't want it being a full on rage game really.

very creative use of the theme, the art is really nice, and the audio is very nerve wracking in a good way! feedback-wise id say movement feels a bit clunky because turning is really hard when you already have momentum, and hitting obstacles slows you down by a lot, also dying later in the level can be a bit frustrating since you have to re-do so much

all of that said, this is a great entry, great job!

Audio makes me feel very tense, the visuals are nice and the atmosphere is quite developed 👍

Wait a minute... Do I know you??? Besides that (btw i know you from the juniper devs garden) I really enjoyed the art and music! The movement and map was very challenging, but in a good way. Good use of theme too, very different. Great game!

really creative use of the theme, I don't think I've seen a drown countdown yet haha. I had a lot of fun with this, and felt like the progression of mapping out the path to each oxygen tank felt pretty satisfying once I wrapped my mind around it.. Great work.

This was cool! You did a great job of creating an ominous atmosphere. Drowning can be terrifying, and I think the sound design and gameplay really captured the franticness of trying to survive. The gameplay was a little unforgiving at times, but it was fun to restart and try again. Awesome job!

Fun little game, can tell you put some effort into the atmosphere, it's very well done.

Obviously not a lot of audio going on but I really liked what you did with the pitch shifting, didn't feel quite as panicky as the classic sonic drowning, but gave me similar vibes and feedback about the timer.

Thought it was a bit odd not rotating around a central pivot, but you get used to it pretty quickly and the movement feels satisfying once you get an idea of the level design and can plan ahead instead of blasting into every wall lol.

Great job, solid submission!

Developer

OH the rotation is like that because having it actually centered made it so for some reason the way you were facing and the way you were moving just. werent the same??? idk why its like that but i used a kind of bandaid fix for it.

a better fix would probably be using some complex code to change the sprite and hitbox positions so that it can turn around the center and still move in the right direction.

I actually held my breathe. :D Thank you for making this. Solo dev, 4 days is crazy work. You should be very proud :)

Really funny movement and enjoyable to play! I felt panicked  whenever i was about to drown and restart so good job on that, keep it up!

Congratulations, you made it to the top of my rage game tier list! The movement and the way the character turns around (and the rotation anchor not being their centre or something) was actually fun to play around though, and would sometimes help me grab oxygen tanks when I normally shouldn't have been able to. Didn't reach far areas in this, wish there were checkpoints because sometimes dying because of the sliding of the movement felt stupid and having to restart everything added to the frustration but if you're going for a rage game you can leave things as they are. Art is kinda cute, and the effect when the player starts drowning adds to the style and difficulty.
