Very creative mechanic that's surprisingly deep! It took me a good few games before I got a grip on the rules, but I was intrigued enough to persevere and eventually beat the AI (though not without many undos). Desperately needs a tutorial, but very cool idea! Love the aesthetic of the bottle caps and beers, makes it feel more casual and low stress even though it's very hard to beat the AI. Great work! I'll remember this one for sure.
cool mechanic!
I imagine this is the type of game they play in the Mojave, with their bottle caps! Really nice twist and very easy to pick up. One question I had is: If I have a stack as follows: Blue, Yellow, Yellow, and before me a single blue cap, I apparently couldn't move a single or double yellow cap from my tower to the single blue cap, although it didn't look like it violated any rules? Great game!
thank you! 😂🌵🏜️
hmm, i think i actually did not explicitly write that you always start by moving all three! good catch! you always have to move the whole stack but you can stop at any point!
Damn, coming up with a twist on chess is no small feat x) congrats, the game was really fun ! It took a bit of time to understand how I could place the second cap down, but once I understood that, the game was really engaging ! :)
thank you very much! glad you liked it! :)
This is such an interesting spin on the chess genre! I'm curious to see what kind of strategies and techniques like specific openings and tactics players can use to get more bottle caps! Maybe you can have a lessons page where players can learn techniques on how specific openings and strategies can be played, like how moving bottle caps a specific side or moving them all in a specific spot can help get more pieces? Maybe you can also add a leaderboard where the more stacked caps you have total, the more points you can earn too? Maybe also a ranked mode where you can play other players? Either way, very interesting idea and would love to see more be made with this! Good luck with the rest of your jam!
thank you for your comment! these are good ideas! but i think i will have to get better at the game myself before i can say which openings are good haha
Not the trombone when I lose. 🎺
Nice concept! I had to watch what the AI was doing to figure out how to play better lol. Great work ^^
Cool game very funny
Please rate my game Flip
thanks, will do ;)
I'm a sucker for a good chess-inspired game and this was a really good one, and a really creative interpretation on the theme! I'll definitely be coming back to this one to play with my wife later! Nice work!
thank you, glad you liked it! :)
I enjoyed your game a lot! The rules were deceptively deep. It took me a ton of attempts to even understand what I was doing. Also the ai opponent was very impressive and made competent moves. Took me a long time to beat it. Only thing I would say is that that a background track would be nice. Congrats on submitting!
thank you, glad you liked it!
i am not good at making music and that landed on the time-chopping-board :D but if i keep working on it, i think iwill add some botw-piano-music
Very impressive coming up with this concept. It's a well designed strategy game. Took me a couple tries to beat the normal difficulty CPU but eventually I got the W. Well done on your submission!
Well designed and smooth working game. It`s addictive!
Just a great well designed abstract strategy game! Well done on making an actually challenging AI within the time limit!
I really enjoyed this game! It feels very intuitive to learn, also I felt like I was actually improving over time haha. I will definitely try this out in real life!
