Lovely game honestly. Really underrated. Concept is creative, game is fun, audio, narrative and art create a great story together. Absolute achievement for 4 days of work.

Since every good review needs feedback, I would say that gameplay is a little slow compared to the introduction of mechanics in the game. You can spread out mechanics, add more, or just shorten the loop so it's maybe 7 minutes instead of 10.

Still an absolute banger of a game, one of the favorites I had the pleasure to rate. Great job!

I completely agree with you.
After submitting and testing a little more 10 minutes felt more and more like a slog. I respect that you were bold enough to offer feedback and I accept the criticism with open arms!

Afterall... if you're right you're right.
Thank you for playing and for enjoying it so much in spite of it's flaws! :D

Haha no worries, it was really the only flaw I could think of. Fantastic game overall, really enjoyed it. Give yourself a pat on the back, it's well deserved.

(p.s. the other comment mentioning the willow, it's because the willow effect is mislabeled as strobe, there's two strobes.)

*self back pat received!

Our artist had limited time. in fact once I wrapped up the music and the voice acting I helped with some of the drawing (i.e. the game cover art and the ending cutscene). the Willow button was low on my list so we opted to not worry about it. we definitely picked our battles on this one.
I scrapped ideas like the clock breaking, and some buttons flying off the control board and you gotta put them back. all sorts of stuff. I only mentioned half my ideas to the team. good thing too... cause... scope creep would've gotten us into trouble. lol

ahhh yeah the overscope demons. Happens to everyone in jams lol. Just wanted to point it out in case you missed it. But that's a ton of ideas for a game about fireworks, if you do end up working on them later this would be insane
