Perfect scope for 4 pages makes this look super easy to run. Nice simple layout and clear writing. Solid.
Heya,
I'm working on organizing a collaboration between all of the Shadowdark creators from Appx. N Jam. If you're interested find me on the SD Discord or msg on bsky.
no nonsense dungeon going full shadowdark vibes. Fresh!
Locked in to Shadowdark mechanics, eminently useable, nice set dressing. Good stuff!
Creative interpretation of a Dyson Logos map, and effective building on the lore of Shadowdark. I can definitely use this!
This would slot perfectly into a Cursed Scroll campaign. You really nailed the Shadowdark vibes. In fact, my buddy's starting a Shadowdark West Marches game; I bet this bite-sized dungeon is exactly the kind of thing he'd like to populate it with. Great use of the Dyson maps too. You've really helped the two-level Jaquaysing come to life.
I like the premise, a missing priest and a surely infested barrow mound. I think that this would serve well as intro dungeon for shadowdark, especially if the players are more combat focused.
Good placement on room 10 such that it will be encountered on either pathway.
Nice dungeon crawl. The map is keyed well making it very easy to run. I wish there was a way to save the priest. Great job!
There are some really novel ideas in here that I don't often see in adventure design. Stuff like a passageway that folks wearing metal armor can't go through. Those gems are among some rooms which are archetypal and perhaps a little straightforward but certainly at home in Shadowdark.
Some of the room descriptions have an informal quality to them and there might be a lack of information hierarchy that's helpful in modules. Bold points of interest, indented text, bullets, etc. These things aren't requirements but they can help with readability and knowing what's in a room at a glance.
That being said the contents of this module shine in the genre they belong to and I would happily add this to the Western Reaches to provide more places to delve.
You have the SD feel down! Fun events and good map. I'd like to see this expanded on, maybe with another twist or two. Nice job!
I think this is a solid, well-written little dungeon. Seems very straightforward to drop into a game.
I like the random encounters, but I do think maybe they could be jazzed up a little bit. I really like the mushroom folk encounter, so as an example, maybe add that they searching for the Ordo Terragnis blade which could spin off into its own follow up encounter/adventure if the party manages to get it. I know space and word count is a limiting factor in how much each encounter can be described, but that's the one thing I can point to that I think could be more exciting.
Nice and low-prep dungeon with classic vibes! 👌
Written and presented very clearly - could see this being a great grab and go scenario to run at the table. The Strangler is just a cool name for an antagonist to. Nice work! 🔥
Nice, classic dungeon adventure. I dig it!
Thanks! That's exactly what I was going for.
