Love to hear that, thanks!

Thematic vibes here are perfectly focused, yet a better work could have been don on the side of interactivity and exploration. Love the font

Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you liked the theme!
You are of course right that there's not a lot of exploration. That is intentional - when you're chasing floating bodies while being shot at by enemies with advanced weaponry, you don't have much time to explore :)

This has immaculate Sword & Planet vibes, thoroughly appendix N. The layout is minimalist and well-presented, everything is clear, well-formatted and easy to read and the descriptions of the alien Corpse Callers and their outpost are really fun. I would have loved at least some indication of the strength and capabilities of the Corpse Callers and their armaments. They are clearly a threat but it is perhaps slightly too vague and would require a bit more work to prepare, even for an system-agnostic module. Some of the descriptions beyond the initial flavour text are a bit verbose and could be trimmed down  for easier parsing on  the GM side,(You could probably trim or remove a good chunk of the left column of text on page 1), which would provide enough room to expand on what some of the gear is.

This was great though, I'd love to run it, excellent work!

Thank you very much for the detailed review!
I am so glad people are seeing the Sword & Planet side. I tried not to be too obvious, but it's definitely something I was aiming for.
As for the descriptions, I have to admit this is my first time working with such a constrained format, and it was not easy for me to balance the flavour, meta information, and actual mechanical stuff. Also with system-agnostic stuff, I have to find the balance between providing enough information while still keeping it loose enough for anyone to adapt it to their preferred systems.
Your points are noted and I will keep them in mind when I start working on the second part.

Let me know if you ran it, I'd love to hear about it!

While there are tons of awesome entries into this jam with beautiful art and layout and fantastic amounts of creative content with few words, many of them are struggling to evoke the Appendix N theme that we're all here for.

The Sword and Planet vibes here are indeed to be praised!

I enjoy the term beam cookers and look forward to any other unique nouns that don't fall back on well worn tropes like lasguns and such. So good!

Thanks for your kind words, I'm really glad you got such feelings from my submission!

Beam cookers, nullstaves, and prism swords are exactly that, my attempt to bring something new, while leaving them open for interpretation. Are the beam cookers simple laser rifles, or microwave guns, or something else altogether?

I will definitely write a follow up to this one afterwards.

What a fun read! It feels like the opening of a planetary romance (aka sword & planet) story and also reminiscent of the Star Trek: Voyager episode Emanations. The spider was a nice touch.

Developer

Thanks a lot! Sword & Planet is one of my favourite genres, and one of the options I wanted to present. I wanted to leave the module as setting-agnostic as possible, so it's up to everyone how they decide to play it.

Gotta look up the Star Trek episode, as I have only seen a handful of the Original Series episodes.
