The wait has been long, but it will be worth it; the update looks incredible.

(+3)(-1)

a question please .. @Dr.Muramasa

why you dont publish it now with 70% complete and release the other 30% on patches ? like 1.9A 1.9B ...

(+2)(-3)

We waited this long, we can wait a bit more.

有新的消息真是太棒了,我们依然在期待着新版本的更新

(+6)

Looking good! The shaders look nice but it does look a bit too dark in some areas. I'm sure it'll be tweaked before the release. Keep up the amazing work. I'll fight my urge to not replay the game for the 10th time and wait for the update! Good luck!

(+1)

each day I think about replaying it too and every time I gotta remember that in the discord they said its more worth the time to wait for the update.

(+2)

Gotta try our hardest to resist from playing lol

(+7)

Nooo! It's really tempting. I miss Anna

Imma try to not play too, but I have a 1.8E saved because I don´t know if the new shades will be to my liking..

(+4)(-1)

take your time bruv, shit looks FIRE

(+1)(-1)

yooooooooo nice, tha shadows look amazing, kai do the mind-boggling work, im fckng really looking forward to it
so when we can get a library or gallery update?)

(+3)

Hi, is nice the Dev want to improve the quality of the images but beware of the intensity of the shadows cuz can be an actual downgrade when you add features in a porn game that make more difficult the appreciation of the naked body, people who dont like this feature is simple because the images with the shadows make more difficult the appreciation of a naked body, the key of a good porn is the clarity of the images to see very well the naked body, a porn with poor illumination who dont let the spectator see  clearly all the details is a very bad one, so the advice is: is ok to add shadows but make it way more subtle.

(+7)

Everyone:

"It is taking too long" / "Take your time"
"I hate the new CGs" / "Loving the new CGs"

Kal:

"Imma create new mini game..."

Any option to turn off futa?

No official option, however  Xelus327 was looking to create a mod to support it after 2.0. They posted a couple of pages up in this thread so you could ask them there if they still have plans and/or how it is progressing.

Hi, when do you think it'll be the next update?

It might have been answered already but the steam version that's coming out in a little over month is that going to be 1.9 or 2.0?

(+1)

Where did you get the Info that there is gonna be a Steam version in a Month ? I think 2.0 will, if its as big as 1.9 be released somewhere Spring 2027. Don´t forget this is a Sideproject

(1 edit)
Assuming there is no delays that's what the steam store page says.

Set expectations this date will change again.. purely cause 1.9 is looking late Aug/early Sept. We know 2.0 will be focused on Anna, but not how much development effort that will involve. Then 2.0 will launch on Itch in its final form (excluding any fix patches.) Then the Steam version will require approval from Valve, so add an extra two weeks plus. Also unconfirmed if the Stream versions additional character, quest and Anna's costumes will be developed during 2.0 development or after release. Though you would expect Kal needs to be wrapped up on Starmaker by October, so he can focus on assisting the rest of the developers with Roundscape Eclipse Act 1. All speculation though, maybe the Doc can confirm if this is close to being on point...

(+1)

Or  3 Nov, 2026 😅

(2 edits)

God, the GTA Meme'ers will be chomping at the bit for one more delay now 😭

Ah okay, in my Country there is a NSFW Ban/Block for games like Starmaker so I can not find any Nsfw games even if I search the name

They already pushed that date to november ROLF

I don´t get all that hate, I love the game and also the Minigames. As for the New CGs with the lighting I wanted to ask if there is a way to somehow influence the Intensity of the shadows. I like the new look but fear that some scene are gonna be harder to see because of this (Wc in the Park). It can also be that it just looks like this because the scenes in your Sneakpeek are small but still wanted to ask if you, as a player, can influence the Intensity. Best of luck to your Team ^^

(+5)(-1)

I have poor feelings about the dynamic lighting. In the before and after comparison pictures, for the after images the dark regions feel like they are 50% darker than they should be, and the light regions feel like they are 50% brighter than they should be. Not sure how feasible it is to tune these or instead allow us to disable dynamic lighting, but I hope something can be done.

The before images are all stand alone amazing when I'm looking at them as a character, but the after images change that perception to make me struggle to see some of the curves or features I was latching onto before. They just aren't hitting the same visual level of eye candy as the previous ones. The visual direction in the previous images felt on point for what the game is centered around, basically enhancing the romanticism with glowed up characters. The later images and their over indexing into realism with the lighting changes detract from that in my opinion.  Maybe it's just a tuning thing, but at the very least something is off with the current execution of the dynamic lighting.

Realism isn't necessarily good or fun. Games naturally break a lot of rules or handwave certain things because it preserves the fun and heightens our experience as gamers. Please try and find a compromise to preserve that.

The eye is forced to process an excess of elements, thereby diminishing the impact of the erotic undertones.(google translate)

(+2)(-3)

Oh, 70%? I think that's pretty fast. I hope the developers can keep up this pace. I really, really love this game, and every time I finish playing, I look forward to the next update. Thank you for bringing such a great theme.

Hello. When I first saw that shrine woman in Japan, I thought she was actually a kitsune or some kind of magical creature. Do you have any plans to make it real for her? Thank you for great work.

Hello there,
No, Chihiro is really just the town "shrine maiden"

Thanks for reply. I really wanted to see a kitsune in such amazing hentai game, especially when theres Japan included. Anyway, thank you again for reply and this great game.

(+11)(-3)

Oof... So now it's delayed because he's redoing ALL of the CGs? And quite a decent bit of them will be worse for it? This is not at all pleasant to read.

I quite liked the original art, it was a vibe. Clean, focused, sharp, emphasis on features etc.

The new art has lost nearly all of it's sharpness and seems a lot more blurred/dulled out. The entire background looks like the MC isn't wearing his glasses. Not sure 'more realistic lighting' is worth it at the cost of ruining all of the backgrounds. In some of these examples you can't see the faces properly and moisture blends into the lighting. For the top right one the MC suddenly has nail polish. I'm not convinced yet it's an improvement. Certainly looks like a sidegrade at best.

What will happen with locations you can access at multiple times of day/weather though? You say the images will 'react to surrounding environmental lighting,' Rain already darkens and ruins a lot of those in the current version. Don't tell me this will make it even worse because there is even less lighting there? Will they need manual fixing for all the weather effects? 🤔

For minigames the tower one is the one you just skip out on because it already takes up too much time for what little money you earn from it. Not sure how many people care for that one having more options and becoming possibly even longer. At least make it so when you fail you still earn the money you gathered so far... (if this isn't already the case by now, haven't really touched this minigame the last few updates)

This seems like such a headache and so much extra cleanup...  and all of it is extra work that didn't need to be done as well. Guess the next update won't be any time soon then? 😭

(+8)(-3)

Hello there,
Is not "now" that is delayed, is one of the reasons it is delayed from the get-go, the community post was just not posted with the specifics of what was being done before. Even though this new visuals are indeed darker in some segments where there are shadows, it is far from "unclear" or from "losing emphasis", but that is more of an opinion which is fair as everyone can feel different about it, and yes there are as many people liking it as there are people who either complain about it or just disregard it as not needed.

"Don't tell me this will make it even worse", again, your own opinion but this was one thing Kal wanted to do for a while and was finally able to do it, people tend to forget this is not just "cgs collection #25" is also a game and Kal has a vision to the polish level that it should have. You can argue "yes, but is a porn game, the focus is the porn, and it should be perfectly visible"... it is, and the new effects while not work perfect in every cg, it does give the scene more volume, like when comparing the flats vs render of a drawing.

About the minigame, same thing, is a game and even if a lot of players don't do the minigame because "oh I just need to play it 3 times to get the Amelia storyline, and it give an insignificant amount of money, so who cares". A lot of people enjoy the minigames, and again it's a matter of wanting to increase the overall quality of the game, not everything is just more and more scenes.
"This seems like such a headache and so much extra cleanup"... because that's the point, making the whole game more polished and not just a "list" of cgs to go through.

(-1)

I personally enjoy the tower game as its a good way to kill time while waiting for the money you need to get certain things , and to me it is fun, same as the DND game, I play that one sometimes just because I like it. I am interested to see how it will improve with the update/launch. I do not like the delay, but I understand it. In the end, this game is someone's passion project and I don't feel the need to berate someone for making it into their vision of the game they are making. Just my thoughts. I have put way to many hours into the game and still continue to do so, even if I plan to delete everything to start fresh with the next patch and again when the game launches. I don't want to miss anything.

Dude you gotta stop deflecting every fair criticism with "you guys just think about porn, we have an ARTISTIC VISION".
Ok: your artistic vision is flawed, then. An artwork where the art is less visible, more blurred and cluttered  is objectively a downgrade.
And yes, improving the minigame is ok, but if you change nothing about how it relates to the rest of the game (additional rewards, larger sums of money earned with time) it's pointless as it pertains to the synergy of activities and systems within the gameplay. You are making a videogame. It's absurd to give extreme levels of polish to a minigame that offers nothing worthwhile to the player, be it additional scenes or larger sums of money,  beyond 3 attempts.

Hey everyone,

I think the vast majority of people appreciate the incredible work that’s being put into this game. It’s been improving steadily, and the quality keeps getting better with every update.

I just hope Kal doesn’t let himself be swayed too much by people who, quite honestly, seem to care more about seeing porn than actually reading the dialogue or paying attention to the game itself. I’m willing to bet that 90% of the people complaining about the lighting have no idea how much the game has evolved or how the new lighting enhances immersion by making daytime, nighttime, natural light, and artificial light all feel more believable.

If you prefer the old visuals, then don’t update the game. It’s really that simple. Downloading a game doesn’t make you the owner of the creative direction, and your opinion isn’t the only one that matters.

Every game has a creative vision behind it. In this case, it’s one developer working toward the game he wants to create. That vision deserves respect too, just as people expect their own opinions to be respected.

And if you honestly believe the game has gone in such a terrible direction and all this development has been a waste of time, then here’s a simple challenge: show me another game with even half the quality, polish, and entertainment value of this one. Then we can talk about whether it can actually compete

(+2)

The reason nobody is complaining about the dialogue is because it’s already fantastic and doesn’t need any fixing. Everyone is actually excited to play the new story content with the upgraded lighting.

The new lighting isn't completely ruining the game, but it's noticeably worse than before. Right now, it feels like playing while wearing foggy glasses on a cold day—and if you already wear glasses in real life, it’s even worse. I get that it’s meant to add immersion, but too much of anything can end up hurting the experience.

A minor tweak or tone-down is all it really needs. It doesn't have to be patched immediately, but it would be great to know if there are plans to add a toggle option, tune it down slightly, or simply let the community mod it.

"how the new lighting enhances immersion by making daytime, nighttime, natural light, and artificial light all feel more believable."
Why are you talking like you already played the update? lmao
We judge it based on the images that have been shown in this post, which do NOT bode well. And we have to assume they're showing "the very best" this lighting system can do, which says a lot if THIS is the best.
Maybe before assuming people are in bad faith, ask yourself if you're not the one already biased.

(+12)(-2)

An option to turn off the lighting really should be seriously considered. I understand it's entirely an opinion, however enough people seem to share this opinion for it to be a problem with a large part of the community. Anyways, hoping progress continues smoothly, wishing devs the best.

(+7)(-1)

I agree, but I'd rather have this in the 2.0 update instead of right now. I just want to dive into version 1.9 as quickly as possible.

(-1)

real

If the replies Dr.Muramasa has been giving are anything to go by, it seems like the developer is too prideful to actually consider something like this.
