Visually, it's simple but striking, and it complements the adventure's content very well. I especially liked the “Decrees”. I've seen some really cool sci-fantasy stuff in this jam, but this one takes the cake. The dungeon has plenty of content, designed quite cleverly, with many elements that encourage players to experiment and explore. Loved it!

Cool adventure to explore, the map and color choices really nail it good!

Absolutely stellar meta-game mechanics regarding technology! This is a very fun one, with a great isometric map & lovely colors, that nailed the science-fantasy vibes. Great work!

Love the adventure, as an Indonesian myself, I like how you put some Indonesian aspect into the adventure. Also the map looks clean and efficient. What I like the most about this adventure is the concept of decree and how you write it in the background of the adventure and the narrative power of the decree itself.

I love how simplistic it is, yet it also gives a really unique experience in each room. The blend of technology and myth narrative is beautifully written.

Absolutely alchemical design in terms of visual language and gameable mechanics, with clear and vivid prose to back it up.

Developer(+1)

So happy someone mentions “alchemical” on this hahaha thanks!

Great theming, nicely costructed. I can definitely see myself running this!

Top to bottom excellent. Did you do the front cover art? Mad props, old school in the best way.

Developer(+2)

Yes I did! I’m no illustrator by any means, but youtube tutorials and unsplash to the rescue I guess hahaha. Thanks! That was the vibe I was going for~

Awesome science-fantasy vibes, and a really clean layout (and helpful rules-reminder text for those who are new to Cairn); the dungeon layout is really fun too, and well presented.

*My (very) personal nitpick: I don't love the text that reveals the true nature of the dungeon features (cryosleep, cables, etc.): my preference would be to leave that ambiguous for the reader/players as if the words for such a thing are totally out of reach.

Well done!

Thanks! I argued till probably the last day of submission deadline to either omit or include those keywords… In the end, I decided to keep it for clarity (maybe my own’s lol) but duly noted! Valuable feedback!

this is phenomenally haunting. easy to understand as an outsider to Cairn, and looks really fun overall! great work :]

Developer(+1)

As someone who had to learn Cairn for this submission, that was such a compliment 😂 thank you!

writing is superb and the setting is otherworldly, idk how you managed to come up with the concept.
I should read Cairn so I understand this module better!

Submitted(+1)

love the new creature concept, really matches the whole theme of decree

Submitted(+1)

This is such a cool setting that's worth expanding beyond this one adventure. I've seen modules with anachronism that are self-aware about it but Emnesic Degree takes that a step further and turns it into something highly adaptable and stealable. Also, that map is sick!

Developer

Steal it! I’m so happy if this module ignites further creations!

Layout is clean & easy to follow. Cool dungeon map with stacks of geometrical shapes!

Great layout and maps and your writing is terse and evocative. Very well done.

The volentology and decree is such a cool concept for science fantasy.

One slick of a map, and just a solid banger overall of an adventure!

Really love the neologisms! Volentology just rolls off my tongue. Very nice map and a banger cover to boot!
