Hey there,

If you're interested I'm trying to coordinate other SD creators for a collab after the jam closes. Hit me up on Discord of bsky!

nice puzzle driven location. Great graphic design, boring map (but drawn with gusto). In the end, a lovely filler. Dwarves make anything better

Developer(+1)

thanks! i attempted to use the shadowdark core rules for how to map out your dungeon (throwing a bunch of dice at paper basically) and it was NOT my favorite but you live and learn haha

Great dungeon with a great puzzle and story.

Love the touch that it’s 7 dwarves :-D

Wait…did the goblin eat that bead of force? 👀🤣

Developer(+1)

I'll ask the goblin that play tested it but im assuming yes. He likes rocks lmao

Well, I didn't know shjadowdark before starting reading the adventures but I'm really starting to like the vibes, even if the intent seem on killing the party! The layout is amazing and a pleasure to watch. I did notice a couple of bottlenecks, perhaps they have a specific reason i didn't catch: having to cross Room 3's poisonous gas just to reach the NPC in Room 4 who explains the gas masks feels backwards, especially if players miss/avoid Room 2 and the hidden masks in it.  In the lake, It's unclear if walking on top of the water through the red ore completely negates the piranha threat or if they can still bite players on the surface.

Dwarves are always digging too deep. There's plenty of fun, pulpy encounters here and the minecart puzzle is a clever way to get the party to explore and think about the environment. It's smart to let the core rules do the heavy lifting for stat blocks to save space. I wish there were a few more omens hinting at the statue to help players understand what's going on, and I think some of the neutral NPCs should have been given stronger motivations (especially since this is intended as a one-shot). Otherwise, the layout is easy to follow and covers a lot of material. Thank you for sharing your project.

Developer

100% spot on, the NPC should be more helpful. might rewrite part of this to change that! thank you so much

I like the white-on-black design and the specific problem. Maybe another editing pass to differentiate details and cut excess prose? Solid work.

Developer

thank you! it was my first attempt at giving myself a trifold limit for size so I definitely struggled to cut down on prose! i'll take another look

I like the visual treatment on this one a lot. An abandoned dwarven mine is always such a solid premise. Nice work!

Developer(+1)

thank you! the shadowdark core book has such a fun dungeon creator and this was my first time using it for a project! glad you enjoyed!

I really like the writing and the visual design for this entry. Just wanted to report that some of the sentence are just a little hard to read, especially in the northern jobsite column.

Developer

totally valid! thank you so much for pointing that out!

The writing is evocative and captures the theme and mood well. The layout is on point, even though I would prefer a cleaner formatting on the rooms (to present the key information easier).

Thank you!

This is great. Really evocative and formatted to run easily at the table.

Thank you!
