Creative use of the title! The depth crawl with increasingly menacing/eery events has a potential to feel like Heart of Darkness or Apocalypse Now. I imagine this would work well as a drop in adventure with little preparation.

Felt very 40k, but touching specifically on disparate technology levels between worlds, have expected when players found the ship that it would get blown up from orbit. Nice survival and search framework, I think the days spent searching adding to the roll is a good touch for an abstracted search so you aren’t just stuck not finding anything for ever because of bad rolls.

I love the idea of crawling a salt marsh looking for wreckage, while avoiding potentially hostile natives. It has the potential to be a tense, brutal experience if played right. I would have loved to hear more on the chain gang and what that means for the PCs; the possibility that the PCs are under the watch of a harsh warden or technological restrictions -- And might see this as a chance to give the Law the slip -- adds cool additional dimension.

You've done a great job laying out a march crawl here with enough specific mechanics to make it interesting and very playable. I think your map could be more useful - if both main areas of interest are in the middle of the map it's probably not scaled (or designed) appropriately. Zooming in to give better detail to the core adventure area might be useful, or spreading out the two areas of interest so that the entire map is more obviously playable.

Great cover. I didn't know Pulp-O-Mizer existed until now!

I wish that the cover art could be represented in the main text as well! I found this to be a breeze to read, and very understandable as instructions for play, but it leaves a lot of legwork left to be done before you hit the table with it. For example, the map, though helpful for scenario planning, is not detailed enough to be shown to the players as a reference or visual aid.  Ahh, the limits of form and format.

Where this shines is in the spring-loaded details. I really love the openness of the (d6) encounter table.

               3. Save vs Poison or −1 to random stat while in marshlands

is a tight technical rule of an encounter description but it really inspired a lot in me - truly alien marshes and their strange wildlife probably do have ways to specifically target wisdom, charisma, and dexterity. Determining the injury and working backwards to figure the alien plant sounds like a treat!

Yeah, there are a few things that I would have added with a slightly higher page count to give a referee less to figure out, most notably a handful of bestiary entries for each class of animal encounter (large hunter for example could be a bunch of things: giant crocodile, T. rex, black dragon, &c; while pack hunters are possibly things like darters, bog hounds, giant leeches, &c). I will probably upload that as an extra pdf after the judging period as a supplement for folks who want a bit more scaffolding, giving a few options for each entry to make the small encounter table more useful. This seems a bit much to add right now though, given the limit imposed for the jam!

Will have a look at redoing the map as well – it was done in a hurry to give an idea of the final area around the life pod, but I tend not to use many maps when I run, so I did not really think about needing to have too much more than an idea of the relative position of each feature (life pod, stockade, islands).

I am glad that you like it though!
