The art for this game is so lovely! I also enjoyed the concept of needing to move the blocks in specific ways to make a path, it was very clever :D

The animations and sounds are so cute and cozy!

I love the platform mechanic, unfortunately it was incredibly inconsistent when trying to get extra speed from them, as sometimes the platforms would jitter or not move. Making that smoother and indicating their movement range would make the game feel so much better!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for trying!

I’m too used to the boosted jumps myself so I really underestimated how hard they are for new players with the jittering…T ^ T

Submitted(+1)

really nice lo-fi beats for the background was nice for the puzzle platformer mood. It was a cool concept and i loved the dithering style with the light radius - but controlling the sliding platforms felt a bit funky and i got stuck pretty early because of it

Developer(+1)

Sorry about the jittering and thanks for the clip!

All platforms in the game actually have a fixed speed, and they try to follow the mouse along a hidden path horizontally or vertically. So the idea in 1-4 is not sliding the platforms fast enough but to make use of their path lengths! Maybe I should have made the paths visible than hidden…

I like the idea of controlling the platforms, a little janky but very cool, the art style and music are also good. Great job!

Such a fun puzzle platformer! Animation of the character and art style was really spot on. Felt so cozy, and was a lot of fun!

Holy level design.. Def one of the better made entries, I Like the lofi vibes with the music, I LOVE the level design, I like that u made hints and stuff and even a playthrough, I think having guides for where each thing can move would have been great but it’s a jam so we’re not entitled to polish haha. The art is cute especially the lighing-dithering thing I will definitely try to recreate it in the future. I wish some mechanic was more.. sleep.. if that makes sense but Goodjob!

Submitted(+1)

Yes! I did it! After 30 tries, I beat the last level! That was really cool! One of the best games of this jam! Very addictive!!!!!!! :D

Developer

Thank you!!!!!!! :3

Nice artwork and animations for the player character, just needs a little polish with seeing where the platforms can be moved to - other than that fun platformer with a nice development of mechanics with the jump boosting!

Loved the chill vibes and the aesthetics! The art was appealing and the dithering effects were really cool! Gameplay wise it was a neat idea!

I think I would have liked there to be some sort of visual rail indicator for the path of the platforms, to make it a bit easier to work out their limitations at a glance. Then there's the horizontal block jump. Shameful as it is to admit after trying to get past it for 10 minutes I gave up. I'd personally make that jump a bit easier by moving the platform you're jumping to down a square or two (I managed to get the momentum to work a couple of times, but wasn't on the edge of the moving block far enough to make it :/). Skill issue on my part I suppose haha. Shame too because I was enjoying the puzzles!

Anyways that said, what I played was great! Really cool work!

Developer

Oh no another 1-5 victim X w X

Adding rails is a good suggestion (was in my mind but I never actually implement it), and I almost wanna delete boosted jumps from the levels at this point :/

Thanks for playing though!

Very cool game! It was pretty hard, but I finished it in the end. I think a majority of the difficulty comes from the moving platforms being a little finicky. Sometimes the would move in ways I wasn't intended. It is a super cool idea for a mechanic in a platformers, I've never played one with this in it, but I imagine really hard to make and balance. I think the theme could have been a little more present. I see that you are getting to the bed in the levels, but its not used much in the gameplay itself. Really nice puzzle/level design, you had me learn several ways to utilize the mechanics you gave to solve all sorts of different challenges through a good progression. The art was excellent, one of my favorites so far! The dithering, the sprites, the colors you chose, I have no notes. It was amazing. The audio was great too! Songs and SFX were fitting but also nice to listen to. Overall, excellent job, thanks for making and sharing it :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for getting through the finicky platforms and beating the game :3

I wouldn't say I was getting through it all, that makes it sound like it was a chore. I thought it was really fun! I love puzzle games and this one was a great sequence puzzle that really stretched my brain. I really enjoyed it :)

As you know, I played through this one yesterday.  Thanks again for the help! :)

I had a lot of trouble with the timing of the first horizontal boost block, but once I got it down, it was pretty much smooth from there.  The world 2 levels were so much fun, incorporating the gravity switch with the moving platforms!  I especially liked the one where you kind of had to stack things on top of each other to make the jump across possible.  Really nice puzzle design; just enough to make you think without being overwhelmingly hard.  At first I thought the player having such a short jump was going to be limiting, but all the platforming challenges were nicely tuned around that.

Also, just when I was starting to think the music was getting a little repetitive through worlds 1 and 2, world 3 came along and blew my socks off; such a cool piece of music, and I absolutely love how the platforming synced up with the tune.  World 3 was also by far the hardest platforming challenge, which was a really nice way to cap things off.

Also, the art is really cool.  The dithering is great, and I love the tiny little bit of shadow the protag adds to the dither pattern around them; such a cool little detail.  And I love the squash/stretch on the protag.  Just very nicely done.

All-in-all, I really had a blast with this one!  Great work :)

Thank you so much for beating the game and the kind words o(* ̄▽ ̄*)o

The little bit of reflection in the dithering on the blocks is such a nice touch.

I enjoyed this one, the graphics are good, I liked the animations of the character. The levels are well designed and I think the mechanics are really easy to understand but still hard to solve certain puzzles. sometimes it was hard to move the blocks in the way I wanted, but maybe it’s a problem with my laptop. Very good entry here.

I struggled with the mechanics, which is probably a me issue. But I really like the look and style of it!

Submitted(+1)

Loved the variety of the mechanics (though I almost threw a tantrum trying to master the horizontal velocity hop)!

Would very much like to see it expanded!

Submitted(+1)

Great game! Loved the art and music and that dithering affect around the player was really cool! I did really struggle with the part where you gain extra velocity from moving the platforms. It felt kind of janky and level 1-5 took me like 15 minutes but luckily, I was too determined to quit lol. I enjoyed how be able to invert gravity combined with moving platforms allowed so many cool puzzles. And the last level was really cool! Took me forever (skill issue on my part) so poor girl got evaporated by the light of doom a billion times lol. Even though it took me a while it was still really satisfying every time! Good job!

Developer

Thank you so much for the determination! ✨

VERY unique game idea I must say, Amazing Game man! Although I couldn't beat the full game, probably just a skill issue on my bit tho 😔

Cool game! Unfortunately, I'm stuck on level 1-4 because I can't get the platform you stand on to move. I checked the hint and watched the playthrough and I tried doing exactly what you did in that level and for some reason it's not working for me. Here's a screenshot of exactly where I'm stuck and the mouse is roughly where I've been trying to drag the platform to the right. But I've tried everywhere is that area and it won't budge.

I'd love to play the rest so if you have any suggestions of what I can try please let me know. I'm also going to wait on rating it until I get past this part and finish the game so I can give a fair and accurate rating.

Developer

Ahh sorry about that >﹏< I may have placed the platform path bit too left and it’s possible to get kinda stuck on the edge. You can try to leave the platform first and then move it towards the top-right side. Here’s a step by step solution if that helps:

Submitted(+1)

That worked! Thanks for the quick reply! Time to finish this game!!!

I saw the devlogs so I'm actually impressed by how everything came together! The character is very cute, and I loved the hidden polishes about how the dithering worked when you got close to a block or whatnot.
Wow, the physics system is one of the most creative things I've seen. If only there was a bit more time to polish some bugs, but I still managed to trial and error a lot of the levels. The boosted jumps were personally very hard for me!

Overall, great work!!

Love the game and music! The background music is so chill I could listen to it all day. Also it's refreshing to see a puzzle game like this :D
