no frills pulp viking kill em all scenario, it has a lot of charm
Super interesting setup, interesting characters, and lovely visuals throughout! I do feel like it could use a simple layout for the Heimdl’s Nostrils caves to facilitate running this a bit.
I just finished reading Poul Anderson's The Broken Sword and this setup and story could have been ripped from that book so this adventure about as Appendix N as it gets. I really like how the map is like an isometr version of the old-school blue maps. The comic book style art for the NPCs is amazing. However, the adventure paints things in very broad strokes. A GM would have to do some detailed home work before attempting to run this session. I love the world-building and art, though. Very good work.
Wowwww, the visuals on this are awesome. Of course the cover and map are amazing but I'd like to highlight how rad the NPC paneling on the back cover is, I haven't seen that elsewhere.
I think the descriptions are a little sparse - leaving a lot of extra work for a potential GM to fill in. The cartography (geography?) of the map is super varied and dynamic.
Great work!
Visually stunning. Great use of verticality and environmental threats. Minimalist keys yet evocative keying. Well done!
The visual design is absolutely stunning; the limited words only enhance the vibes and intrigue. I love the way the map is presented and not overwritten, that makes it much easier to run at the table. The colour palette is really easy on the eyes, my only tiny nitpick is I wish there was more contrast between the words and the background on the NPC panel.
Still, you got 5 stars down the line from me!
Love the art and the map, both are great. Not much plot as presented, but positively DRIPPING with flavor, which makes it all the more fun for the right Warden. Very smart. Wish I had that level of restraint.
The cover looks amazing! Also cool NPCs.
Stunning art! And I love the isometric, almost low-poly map.
Oh my god the cover and the art!!! i'm on my knees!!! underrated entry. The NPCs are so cool and intriguing, too! The map is pretty light on information and I wish you'd go for a map of the setting itself instead (like where an NPC's village is, the lair of the monsters, etc.) because I would love to know more about this world, but it is a gorgeous map regardless. Rooting for you to expand this!
What a cover! Wow!
I think the dungeon here really fit the theme, the drakkar on top of a mountain is such a cool setting and also a great reference to Noah's ark. Really like the art for the cover and the NPCs too
I freaking love this, such a cool visual design and the art is banging. A ship teetering on top of a mountain peak is such a cool image
This has such a great 70s comics vibe, awesome art/ layout with the NPC's and cover!
Wow. What process did you use for your art? Beautiful Layout too.
Thanks so much! My process here is a mix of scanned hand drawn line art with digital color and then some digital doodling! I did the isometric map in vector.
