As others have noted, I love the villainous front of a cult whose beliefs can be challenged by the player characters. This definitely feels like a meditation on "verdant fire."

Thank you for the kind words!

This module seems like it’s a ton of fun! Writing is clear and evocative. I love that the cultists are unsure about their leader and definitely wrong about their beliefs.

Definitely saving it to run in the future!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! I loved reading through your adventure as well, and your usage of color definitely helped inspire this adventure.

I’m glad it could serve as inspiration! 🙏

The clarity here is top notch. Not everything needs to be some art project and this really shows that ease of use can be an art form itself.

This dungeon crawl is tops! Extremely clean layout, fun encounter table, clear outcomes depending on what the PCs do, and the possiblity for more adventure or mayhem at the end. What more do you need, except to play more DURF?

Developer

More DURF, more better! Thank you so much for the kind words, I really appreciate them!

i don't know why "formulaic" has negative connotations, especially when a formula that works is used competently like here: a nice ~10 room dungeon with faction play, a mystery, an emergent quest. map is nice (as expected from Dyson Logos) and vertical, adding novelty and depth to the adventure (not sorry for the pun). bonus points for introducing people like me to a new system.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the kind words! It means a lot to hear that my efforts to create an interesting dungeon situation have paid off. Gotta love Dyson Logos!

Wonderful adventure with clear goal, concise useful language, GREAT layout and design. The map is really good, too, with interesting 3 dimensional aspects but still possible to draw with graph paper, if needed. Well done!!

Developer(+1)

I’m really happy to see my layout pay off! The map was a monumental find, having a cool Medusa statue and all the kinds of spaces I wanted to include. Thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate them.

This is a very accessible and well-written 1-page dungeon with a great map in it. I am only passingly familiar with DURF but it is fun to see an adventure statted for that system. The "verdant breath" of the dragon is fun and unexpected element! If I ever run DURF this is what I'm running.

Thank you so much for the kind words! I’m really happy this adventure resonates with you.

Hell yeah, DURF!

The map is wonderful, and I really enjoyed everything about the Verdant Fire’s effects. Why separate that killer cover from the rest of the zine?

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the kind words! I left the cover out to keep the actual adventure at two pages, and the map is from Dyson Logos. I love using their maps for my projects, and this one felt perfect!

pretty cool scenario and loved the map. Love to see more stuff for DURF!

Developer

Thank you for checking it out! I was very happy to get to write a DURF adventure, since I hadn’t seen any in a while.

A lovely DURF adventure, I’ll give it a shot at my table for sure!

I especially love the super clean layout, the custom art and the “compactness” of it. I can see myself running it with just that sheet in front of me.

Props for providing the Markdown source as well!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the kind words! I’m glad my layout strategies paid off. If you end up running it, I’d love to hear how it goes.

Short and sweet! I respect that you didn't even use the full page count XD
The dungeon map is lovely. It's a small touch, but I really like the gradient you applied to the title.

Developer(+1)

The gradient was a last minute touch, glad it worked out! Thanks for reading!

The writing is so clear and snappy, which I guess you need to clearly describe a 8 room dungeon in 2 pages! Hadn't heard of DURF before this, but this seems like kind of perfect module for the system, since it is also whittled down to a the core of what you need for a great TTRPG experience. Very impressive!

Developer

Thank you! DURF was one of the first tabletop games I tried after D&D, so it felt like my own Appendix N inspiration.

Submitted

A solid temple-full-of-cultists locale. All-round stellar design, layout, and writing, though not exactly heavy on Appendix N themes.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the kind words! I’m really happy with how this turned out, and I loved getting to make a temple full of cultists

This was an interesting entry. The markdown format took me by surprise. My favorite highlight is that gorgeous dungeon visuals and design. Awesome descriptions of the places, that prisoner description made me chuckle. This feels very solid. Amazing work!
