Themes
I didn't intentionally use any of the themes. It's inspired by a real game called "Abducktion"
*** BONUS PRIZE!!! ***
If you find the "secret ending", DM a screencap of the ending and you'll be mailed a fabulous* prize (in real life). It's a secret :p. Need a hint? There's some buried somewhere else this jam.
[*] Prizes will not be all that fabulous. Probably a sticker or button from an upcoming game.
Tooling
Godot, Libresprite

Interesting game, but unbalanced. The only way to win seems to be using cast x2 damage cards, other don't deal enough damage to prevent enemies from killing you.
Seems interesting, but it didn’t click for me. Hoping you add some help in the description. I’ll check back.
WE GOING!
Really original idea! Had fun looking for the secret, although I've cheated.![]()
I feel like it could really use some sounds though.
Overall really cool, with some balancing could be even cooler :)
How did you cheat? did you find the final secret?
Also thanks! I think with some balancing and mechanic changes it could be really cool.
Sadly due to a lack of time on my end I've decompiled the game skipping the arg. I thiink I found it but ya never know (welp you know)
oh dang- cool!
The game concept is great; I haven’t seen anything like it before, but unfortunately, the game cheesed very quickly after 2 "adding two red nodes", 2 "activations of five nodes", and something unnecessary that can be constantly changed in the selection menu. :(
Yeah.. very very unbalanced.
Cool concept, although it felt a bit swingy (I got to match 19 before I got a bad draw that didn't let me get a one shot on the enemy and I got taken down at that point).
thanks! and yeah.. yikes lol
Really fun game once you grasp the concept. Is there an ending to the game? I wasn't sure if this would go on forever, it felt I was always fighting the same few enemies and as long as I was able to get some shields I was able to go to the next round?

Seems confusing at first but I got the hang of it after a some time. Though it could use some more initial explanation of the mechanics. For example, I don’t know how many nodes I would be playing once I click end turn (I still don’t know since I never stopped to count while playing).
The gameplay itself is not too hard. There’s some interesting combo to do, but otherwise seems basic.
The game lacks audio so that’s a shame.
Yeah, I think the concept is really really cool, but the game falls really flat unfortunately.
I think it has a lot of potential & needs to be thought about a lot more.
Also, with the way it is right now, it’s very luck based, if you get good casts, you’ll win, otherwise, you’ll lose.
Thank you for playing!
Seems interesting but I need a tutorial to understand the gameplay
Yeah, The game is just complex enough that it really needs some form of a tutorial, & I just didn’t get to implementing one.
