Played this at the beginning of the jam and never got to comment. I liked the ambience and goofy pictures, even a Dick Storm ref. The game play was simple and enjoyable. Overall a fun game and I have no criticism. Congrats on another fun submission :)
This was nice and relaxing, I ended up replaying 5 times for a better score on the leaderboard lol. It was very satisfying and seeing shaq just randomly appear made me laugh, cool game!
Yay I got to the top of the leaderboard! Stargazing is about observation, patience and making up shapes between the stars. I had a great time playing and it's a fantastic game for the theme. Good job!
Really enjoyable and relaxing game, is interesting the mechanic to conect the stars and create that idea of own constellations, the meme ones are hillarious x3, really good job, love this entry x3
Came back after a long day to play this one again! I wanted to beat your score! Lol! But ended up only with 998!
This is sorta a game about love, so just like in love, you need patience, skill and a bit of luck :)
What a coincidence, i literally have the same premise as yours because i used to do it back then. Really enjoyed the gameplay also ranked pretty good on leaderboard on first try. Had a great time playing your game. :)
🌙 YOOO, THIS ONE IS SUCH A WHOLESOME LITTLE STAR-GAZING EXPERIENCE! ✨
I really liked how simple the idea is — just sitting under the night sky, finding funny constellations and connecting the stars. It’s super easy to understand, but somehow I found myself getting really into searching for the shapes 😂
The little constellation drawings are honestly my favorite part. Some of them are absolutely hilarious, and the dialogue changing depending on how many stars you connect is such a nice touch. It makes the experience feel more personal instead of just being a simple star-connecting game.
I also really liked the atmosphere. The night sky, glowing stars, environment and music all come together to create that late-night summer feeling really well. 🌌
For a small jam game made in such a short time, you guys did a great job. It feels cozy, funny, and genuinely fits the STARGAZING theme.
⭐ Definitely getting a TOP rating from me! You guys cooked with this one.
And seriously, if you have some free time, please play my game too and leave me a review! 🙏🥹 I’d really love to hear your thoughts, and even a small comment would mean a lot to me.
GG to both of you, and good luck with the jam! 🌠
Fun, funny. Great artwork. Clearly, you guys had a blast working on this game. Good for you.
Thanks, glad you liked it!
This game is so creative and we can't believe how much you accomplished in the short period of time! The artstyle is so cute -- the duck was awesome :)! The dialogue thing was super creative too, where they gave you different dialogue based on how many stars you managed to connect. Overall, so fun, and you definitely did a good job with this! We really enjoyed it.
Thanks! We joined late, so we figured a simpler game with some funny constellations would be cool this time.
The dialogue was supposed to be more complicated at first, replying to each constellation in a different way. With limited time we went with what we have :)
The idea is really nice, and the various “constellations” made me laugh.
Good game! =)
Thanks! We wanted our constellations to be absolutely NOT like the real life constellations :)
Fun little game. Took me a while to understand the concept but then it was just chiling haha very very cool idea, it could really be expanded on a bigger game, for sure. Cool!!
I just got that I made one of those cozy games everyone seems to talk about!
Glad you liked it!
This is a pretty chill game! Loved the idea of placing the images in stars and the vibe is wholesome!
Thanks! This is exactly what we aimed for!
Wow, that was such a good idea for a game based on the theme! I really enjoyed playing it. Although it was a bit hard to find the shapes among all the stars, that was actually the fun part! I think I’ll play it with a friend next time , that would be even more fun. Overall, excellent game!
Thanks for playing! The sky is generated from scratch each time you play, so you might have more luck next time!
Aah Oky , yeah I'll try when I feel lucky haha
A very simple concept and quite satisfying. It definitely fits the theme 100%. It’s a bit of a shame that it isn't a puzzle-type game where you search for constellations and rotate them to actually fit something—that might have been an interesting direction as well. The visuals are cool and there seems to be a lot of them, which is nice. The gameplay itself requires virtually no explanation, so big props for that.
It's hard for me to say how this could be expanded further, though :(
A puzzle game would be pretty cool, but we only had 5 days to work on it (none on the weekend), so we decided to go with something relaxing instead.
As for expanding it further- truth be told, we aimed for a tiny, one-off game. There are a couple of my games that could be expanded, but this is not one of them :)
It has a good game mechanic and a strong theme based on the jam. Congratulations! I think it could benefit from a scoring system or a time limit to give the game a clearer sense of progression and an ending
We considered a timer, or even something more "organic" like a sunrise, but in the end decided against it. You don't rush when you look at the stars with someone.
As for the scoring system... we have that! You have the online leaderboard on the title screen and a score counter in the top-left corner. Check it out again to put your name on the scoreboard :)
