It reminds me of Among Us. Pretty good mission to play! It’s a little difficult to understand at first, but I really liked the art and the sounds. Nice job!
It was pretty hard to understand the game at first. This kind of game should have a tutorial at the very starting of game. Other than that really liked the art style of th game and sound design is also done pretty well, so good work! :)
Cute game! I really like the spectrascope minigame. It wasn’t clear at first that I had to do each a few times, but then I noticed the bottom changing. I liked the art! Short and sweet.
I love the hand-drawn graphics (very nice) and the idea of the 3 experiments: a good catch!
I the game could benefit from an indicator that marked successful experiments as “passed”…
And, for future jams: don’t use the ESC button when releasing a web game, because ESC is the default button in the browser for the fullscreen exit! =)
Congratulations on your first jam!
☀️🚀THIS IS A REALLY COOL GAME!
I loved the Sun experiments + time pressure idea. The hand-drawn art and spaceship atmosphere are also really nice! 🌌
My main suggestion would be adding clear feedback when an experiment is completed, because I wasn't always sure if I had done it correctly. A few small hints during the experiments would help too.
And honestly, the STARGAZING theme fits REALLY well here — you're literally studying our star! ⭐☀️
Great work and congrats on your first jam! 🎉
And if you have some free time, please play my game too and leave me a review! 🙏❤️
I definitely did not read the tutorial at first which made this feel very Project Hail Mary, but I went back and read it after a minute of wandering haha. Tutorials in the game are always preferred!
Gameplay 3/5 - The 2 puzzle experiments are cool, but there wasn't any indicator of whether they were solved correctly or not which is frustrating. I'm pretty sure I did all 3 but I still lost?
Creativity 4/5 - Having to do the minigames/puzzles with the added time pressure is clever.
Art Style 4/5 - I loved the style of the ship! My one minor complaint is some of the assets like the grabber thing were clearly low-res images scaled up way too much. It might be better to go with vector graphics for something like that next time!
Audio 4/5 - The music was good and I actually enjoyed the clanking of footsteps. Little things like that go a long way to add to the atmosphere (pun intended).
Theme 5/5 - The tasks all involved "gazing" at the star in different ways, can't ask for more than that!
I enjoyed the hand-drawn art and the visual style of this game. I was able to navigate the first experiment but wasn't sure if I completed it or not. On the second experiment after adjusting the height, I wasn't sure what to do.
I didn’t quite understand what I was supposed to do. There were no signs or hints to help me understand the game or what I should do. It would be nice to have a few hints or some guidance at the beginning.
