Love the tragic Human sacrifice angle, as well as the need to rescue said sacrifice from the Pirates in order to win, I just wish there were a specific loot or prize for doing so. Could’ve used another editing pass as well, but not a big deal. Great maps, and color choices as well. Good work!
Great pitch (cthulhu pirates!) but lack some finish effort. It need a little more detail on the KuKul and a lot more detail on what pc can get form this mess ("save the world" is still something, but we must know HOW Kukul would fucke the whole thing up if unmatched). So good vibes, good potential, underachieving last mile. Hell of a pitch nontheless. You can learn how to finish a good adventure, but you don't learn how to start. And the author knows how to start.
A really great adventure that combines pirates with cosmic horror. A great combination, presented in a simple and clear way. Great job!
I like your drawing of the pirate cove. It's got the right amount of whimsy and unigueness. The pirates playing darts in the mess hall while they're getting attacked got a chuckle out of me. They must have a good union. It seems fun, but I wonder how this would work when inserted in a larger campaign. The implications are concerning.
Thank you for reading. The dart was just a bit of fun, so I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, we tried to package it as one-shot (noted to mention that next time). The Coral creature is so big, it could be expanded to encompass more areas.
The random table is wonky looking, the maps have no scales, the background is bland, no cool magic items for PC to find and kill themselves/others with.
Also, the treasure is anemic as hell; the PCs have to stop Coral Cthulhu from dragging California into the Pacific and all they get is less than 1000 gp?
