How does your game fit the Theme?
The game was originally meant to have constellation puzzles to give a hint on the constellation that will attack at nightfall where you use a counter constellation to fight it. However I was very busy this month and the game barely fit the theme

I spent most of the time scripting the scorpius boss fight but unfortunately, it had too many bugs and had to be switched to a cutscene as it was already 2 hours before the deadline

Congrats on making the deadline. It might not have been as polished as you would have liked, but I could see what you were going for. I especially liked the constellation puzzle with the telescope. I know you mentioned being busy during the jam, but in my personal experience, trying to fit too many mechanics into a game (especially ones I had not done before) were most frequently what caused me to have half finished submissions. Focusing on one mechanic, like the telescope puzzle, maybe having each constellation give you a skill for opening another door to escape or something, could have been simpler and given you more time to finish and polish it. I actually had to make a similar decision this jam to focus solely on making a madlib instead of my tentative idea to make the madlib a mini game in a larger game.
That was a quite fun little game. One major lacking thing is audio. Even a little bit of sound effect and bgm will enhance the game many times. Overall good work!
Can you please rate mine too. I just need one more rating. Would really appreciate it. :)
Nice game! A little short, but you can see that there was effort put into the development. =D I noticed that there are some lags when the scenes are loading⦠you could at least add a āloadingā indicator or put a āfade out / fade inā, so as to make it clear that the game hasnāt crashed. Also itās a shame there is no audio, it would have added a lot to the game! =)
The game is good! Itās noticeable that you spent a lot of time working on the artwork, and it really shows. Good job!
If you added some sound effects, I think it would be even better. You also have a lot of potential to turn this into something much more interesting, like a story about an astronaut who gets lost in the galaxy and has to fight different monsters, with different mechanics for each fight.
I hope you continue developing the game because I think you can make something really good out of it. Good luck!
YOOO, THIS WAS A FUN LITTLE EXPERIENCE!
I actually enjoyed running around the dark planet and seeing the constellations come to life. The whole idea of constellations manifesting as creatures is pretty cool, and I can definitely see the bigger game you were aiming for.
It does feel really short right now though š — especially with the āTO BE CONTINUEDā feeling at the end. The constellation puzzle + counter-constellation idea sounds like it could make the full version MUCH more interesting and fit the theme way better.
Even though the jam version is limited, I had fun with it. Definitely keep working on this one, because thereās something interesting hiding here. š
Good luck with the jam, bro! š¦āØ
And if you get some free time, please play my game too and leave me a review! š Iād really appreciate your feedback!
Thanks, I played your game and enjoyed it! I could definitely see some updates being made to your game such as more levels if you do plan on continue working on it, really liked the movement of the plane and connecting the stars to form constellations!
I can see you spent a lot of time on the art. The game mechanics are good and have potential as a serious game. Adding music could make it even more immersive.
This has serious potential, just looking at it I can tell you had a LOT of idea for it, I hope you keep your word and finish it after the jam
Thanks!
pls check mine out, i think its the file size thats intimidatingš
I checked it and it was good!, really liked the fast pace motion lol
