Great execution of your choice of themes!

However I would have loved a mini-map, or just some way to see the places I had already explored. I got stuck on one mission where I just couldn't find the exit. :'(

I was really scared to play this game — the sound design is simply top‑notch. The visuals are cool too, but unfortunately, given my fear of the dark, I barely saw them. The art for the wizard’s death and the sound it makes every time made me smile — it’s great.

Love this! I definitely didn't kill my little wizard multiple times on spikes that I *knew were there*! Object permanence, more like object ceases to exist if I can't see it!

Anyway — well done.

Fantastic execution on the “see with sound” theme! Being able to lure monsters directly into the spikes is such a clever, satisfying touch. It’s one of those games that immediately hooks you into a “just one more run” loop right from the very first try. Superb job!

It's really not easy to create an atmosphere with 2d with such small screen space, but that was just brilliant
The shop music is totally chef's kiss

Cool twist on the basic dungeon crawler! I could totally see this kind of lighting mechanic being worked into a bigger game.

Such a cool concept! It really feels nice to play. Could also totally be expanded to a fuller game)

This is an awesome game! The mechanic is cool, and I love how the enemy AI works. Well done!

Really well done! The visual and audio effects are super polished! It's a shame that you didn't have the time to finish it (I would love to see more of this idea), however you are right: game jams are like that :D.

Saw your game in the discord and I have to say, it is very nice! Love the pulse effect, visually. We picked the same theme so its fun to see how similar yet different our games are :)

Super cool! (I’m writing this early; will play again before reviewing)

Two things you ought to look into before the jam closes:

  1. Key events are being passed on to the browser (eg Down Arrow scrolls the page). You need a stopPropagation or preventDefault when receiving the event.
  2. The “+1” sprite when you pick up a coin, its positions are clearly finer than 64x64. Can you set a global framebuffer size instead of whatever scaling trickery you’re using now?

Keep at it! This is going to be one of the best.
