Awesome job I loved how the stickers looked and how you can put stickers on top of things adding mustaches and other ones was my favorite part very fun did not understand the fighting, but I won a few times so your game kind of agreed that those stickers needed the mustache

I now have concrete proof that i'm the coolest kid B)

Oh, bravo! It’s a shame that, due to an unfortunate oversight at the end of the jam, the final levels aren't connected to the game... We’ll be able to share a fixed, more polished version of the project before voting ends!

Really cool game! The art style is very wholesome and the execution is incredibly high for a game jam. I see what are the inspirations and I like it. I truly believe that with more work it could became a good commercial game.

Developer

Oh, thank you so much! Yes, we had to work very, very quickly on the jam—we were busy with quite a few other projects that same week... But we’d love to share a more polished version of the game with you once the voting is over!

The implementation of the theme is very original! The stickers are adorable and it's super satisfying to stick and place them. The art is very good! I'm stupid and while I was moving my items around I clicked "next" a couple of times and the battle started before I had finished placing my stickers (which made me lose those times, sad) A confirmation button would have been perfect to avoid these cases. Very good game!

Developer

Thanks a lot! Yes, we'll take your suggestion into account! (Why not even hide the button until the new items have been viewed?) Glad to hear you enjoyed the game, in any case!

Damn this is good!

Thanks !

I think i saw your post about this sticker tech on the godot reddit! I didn't realise it was for this jam, it's really impressive!

The combat/stats side I’m afraid was a bit lost on me, but sticking stickers on my belongings? Absolutely adored it. Such a nice little game, the presentation and the art style in particular are such goals for me.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yes, Sol made those little stickers earlier in the week, and we thought they’d be a great starting point for the Godot Wild Jam we jumped into mid-week!
The combat mechanics I handled were put together a bit hastily; they really lack feedback and clarity.
But we’re waiting for the voting to end before sharing a more polished version of the project!

Really cool game concept, and awesome graphics.

But the lack of sound effects on dragging, clicking things and anything other then peeling off stickers feels lacking?

Also the battle mechanic is very cool and orignial, but feels very confusing without any tutorial or guide of a sort.

Also it felt a bit overwhelming with how much stuff you get so fast. Stickers and things to put them on.

But still  a very original, pretty and cool game.

Developer

Thanks for the very detailed feedback!

Yeah, we didn't have much time to develop the game for the jam, so it's definitely lacking some polish—especially the SFX, or really just the overall feedback during combat, which lacks clarity.

We’d love to share a version with some fixes and extra polish, but we’ll have to wait until the voting ends for that!

It’s really satisfying to peel off the stickers. I can’t remember if there were any SFX for placing them, but the visuals really did the job on their own. I got a bit confused during the fights, though. I wasn’t sure what was being taken into account or why I had around 5000 points while the opponent had -700. The combat feels like the weaker part of the game, but I think there’s a lot of potential in the sticker mechanic. I also liked that you can use stickers to customize your fighting style.

Developer

Hello, and thanks for the detailed feedback!

Yes, the combat is definitely the weak point of the project.
We were a bit busy this week and had to rush the release. But the project is close to our hearts, and we’d love to release a more polished version once the voting is over—especially with better feedback during combat, let's say!

Cute concept, and awesome art! Loved the characters that were introduced, kept getting beat by Daria until I discovered that you can apply as many stickers as you wanted on a single item (assume it's not supposed to be allowed, but I couldn't help myself haha). After them I ran into a<NULL> opponent :p

Overall I had a really great time, and played for quite a while! The sticker gesture is very satisfying too, had a lot of fun with that alone haha. Worth the effort there, it works perfectly :)

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked it !
Yeah, the submitted version does not have the constraints, but we accepted it !
(as many stickers as you want per object, plastic cups dont disappear when used, stickers dont break on removal).

<NULL> kid is unbeatable, nobody can be cooler
