Oh WOW, I LOVE the use of the "turkey hand" as a "character sheet." I'm not familiar with the system used, so I can't say how much of this is creativity or just the system, but nothing feels out of place whatsoever. It all works together incredibly well. The systems are hilariously themed, I love your examples, and this would obviously be a hysterical game to play with found family while avoiding Thanksgiving with blood family 😅

PS: OH NO, I have to warn you that I didn't see your name anywhere in the game itself. I did that a lot when I first created stuff, and then I learned that people often download a bunch and check it out later. Adding your name and/or a link to your work is SO beneficial 🧡 That way they know where to go to get more of your work when they inevitably become fans 🙌

I had a bunch of fun and ridiculousness  with my mostly fictional dysfunctional family!! LOL The turkey hand for the character sheet is absolutely awesome. I loved your writing and examples of the skills, characters, and goals. They really helped set the tone of the game for me. I really liked the actions and the Mobile Data limit too! They really helped add to the gameplay and even sow chaos LOL
Thanks for making and sharing! <3

Heck yeah, I love the turkey hand character sheet! That is such a good way to set the mood of Thanksgiving and being with family. This is a super fun concept and the game looks very entertaining.

I like when games use something new (or not thought of) as a way of playing an RPG. I have tried rock-paper-scissors formats a few times, but I never thought of tracing your hand (like some of us did as kids) to use as the character sheet and remind us of our childhood turkey art.

I was a bit confused by the gameplay at first, but it was due to not understanding the system. After some research, I understood the mechanics and enjoyed the experience. I’d love to see a Christmas version as it kind of reminded me of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.

Great entry!

I myself was ALSO confused by the gameplay, so I'm sorry that came through!

No! Don’t apologize! Whenever working with a new system, there’s always a learning curve. I can’t tell you how many times I had to reread Lasers & Feelings just to understand the mechanics.

It was great, and, honestly, I really don’t know of any game where the setting is during Thanksgiving. 😁

Let me start by saying CONGRATS on publishing your first game, and for a time limited, prompt inspired jam. Challenge well met!

This had me cracking up. The turkey hand character sheet is a really clever idea, and I love your quirky examples. It does a great job setting the scene and vibe of the game.

I’ve previously read through the “This Game Takes Place Anywhere!” SRD and you did a nice job with your own spin on it!

I like the character sheet, the mobile data as a resource (bc for sure we need it in these types of parties - we don’t have Thanksgiving here in Brazil, so I’m visualizing everything as similar to a Christmas party I hope it is not too different??), the encouragement to get failed results (very interesting!! I love when things get possible chaotic 😂😂), and the ‘what the hell is this doing here’ move, again, seems a good incentive to make funny scenarios! Very nice game, good work ✨✨

100% like a Family Christmas party! I just picked Thanksgiving because that's the "Food" Holiday around here! Thank you for the kind comment!

Love the "turkey hand" character sheet. This game is going for a similar theme I was trying to address in mine, of interpersonal conflict at large communal meals. I'm not sure I understand the Mobile Data economy; do players start with any Mobile Data, or do you have to forget a skill or deliberately fail a roll to get even one? That seems a bit harsh.

it has to be a special token of some kind, and I wasn't sure how else to create am economy inside a family get together.

This little game has a such a fun and evocative atmosphere. It really conveys the feelings of a big family event where your grandparents' house feels so small and so huge at the same time, it's a really good piece of writing.
