No, we used the HeatleyBros music and button sound from bfxr.net. The cat sounds are my cat Lady.
How did you incorporate the theme "UNSTABLE"?
the pet's evolution becomes unstable once you overfeed/clean/love/neglect it. The evolution is more powerful but has a defect that adds an extra challenge.

Great gameplay loop, also the pet's evolutions are a fun surprise I hope you keep working on this project after the jam because it has so much potential and I would totally buy it if you sold it on steam

The gameplay loop is very fun! I like how each action that you lean towards makes your cat stronger in some way and gradually changes their design. I wish the tutorial was displayed in the game instead of the description which caused some confusion at the beginning. I hope this can be expounded in the future though as it does get repetitive once you got all the combinations. Great work on all sides!
Very unique gameplay and lovely art style and a fun way to implement the theme. The sound design was fun although the game lacked clear instructions on how to play initially.

As the comments state the art is really amazing here. The evolutions look so great and I wanted to play through every path to see all the defects and their powers. I would have really loved to see combination evolutions where if you followed two different paths you'd get a mixed evolution. That said, this is a very inspired and cool game!
Thank you for playing and for the feedback! I agree with you, there should be the possibility to mix evolutions. I chose early on to lock the design to only evolve one lane so it's easier for me but it makes for a more limiting gameplay :/

using your actual cat noises was a good choice, definitely gives it more personality
the messed up evolutions were probably my favorite part though. kept playing mostly to see what the thing would turn into next

This is one great looking game! I especially like the "came apart" versions of the cat. The fragile one in combination with the beanie is hilarious :D Great job all around, really nice and polished.

Your cat deserves an award for the cat sounds. Lovely art and it was neat maxxing out each evolution and seeing how that looked. It gave me a bit of nostalgic Monster Rancher vibes in all the best ways. Fun little game!
I love the artwork it's so unique and so adorable.. Also love how my cat changed when I got a power-up. The sound is lively but my favourite is when my cat goes "meow". It's SUCH a cute sound. Also I unlocked a beanie for my cat?!? So cool. Well done.
The art is really lovely and fit the game, also the music is make it more lively, maybe add more explanation and some basic rule what happening on upgrading the stats, but overall its a strong entry, great job xD
